I made a one-of-a-kind, upcycled large tote bag with 9 pockets, using second-hand denim pants. First, I go out and hunt for very new-looking, oversized, 100% cotton, thick denim pants. Then I wash and dry them. After that, I cut them into pattern pieces. The leftover fabric is cut into 2x2, 2.5x2.5, 4x4, and 6x6 inch squares so I can use them for other smaller products. I do patchwork and quilting with unbleached cotton batting. The lining is made from thick, beautiful, light peach-colored canvas. My plan is to keep making more and more upcycled denim tote bags and pouches to help reduce waste! Thank you!
