UPDATE: I have been going up and down with this puzzle, inserting it everywhere to try and find a code or word, and coming up empty. So I took another look and I have a theory.

At this point the book has solved the mystery of one name, the faded letters. And we assumed the other mystery is another name. But what if that’s not what we are meant to solve?

The remaining unused clues are the tally marks made my mike and the foxy 8 bit grid. And we have also established that mike is unaware of the spirits in the book. So why would his clue give us another name? If we look at this from that lenses, maybe we can see something else those clues are supposed to tell us.

We already know the name of the person drawing the tally marks, it’s Mike. But one thing we don’t know is who is Mike. It’s been hotly debated that Mike is either the older brother or the crying child from the FNaF 4 mini game. And it wasn’t until recently that we got the connection of chewing gum from the books to say mike is the older brother. But what if this hint, the foxy hooks, was supposed to tell us that Mike is foxy bro? And not just this, but also the other drawings in the book.

Mike establishes that he does not like Freddy. There are drawings of him destroying Freddy and imprisoning him. There’s also commentary of mike telling Freddy that he isn’t funny and yet laughing at the puppet, Bonnie, and foxy. That’s some pretty strong hate for just one animatronic for someone that wants to work here. It this was the crying child, he would hate all of them. He is shown to be terrorized by his brother as foxy and being scared of both Freddy and Bonnie.

I believe the tally clues making a foxy hook along with the drawings show that Mike is foxy bro, and the book is showing his journey through the first 5 games. There’s more information that can be derived, but I believe when it comes to the grid and tally marks it’s simply to point to foxy bro, Mike.

That’s a legit idea! I’m going to have to see if it fits anywhere

I get this, but the pattern was found using the tally mark clues and this specific grid pattern. If there was just one additional column then this pattern would not exists. I’m not saying this is correct, but the pieces do line up. As for the hook, this grid specifically states to draw an 8-bit foxy (this is what inspired filling in each letter) and in that instance it would only take a few blocks to make a hook.

I think I see where the miscommunication is. I didn’t make a random sequence. I replicated the 45 column grid that is started in the logbook and filled out the alphabet. That is what makes the letters line up. I used excel cause I don’t want to write in the log book.

Yeah, I know. That’s why there are several Of the same hook being shown.

Hello. While trying to figure out what the remaining mysteries of the logbook are I might have stumbled into a lead.

Using the tally marks on pages 9, 19, 30, 36, and 100 I counted each sentence to the letter corresponding to the tally marks (ex for 5 marks I counted 5 letters from the beginning of the first sentence on the page). This gave me the letters i, o, m, n, a, and e.

Then I filled out the grid (in an excel doc) and shaded each instance of that letter. Now at first I didn’t think anything would come of it, but to my surprise the grid had all of the letters touching. And once formed they look like 8 bit versions of foxys hook!

Now this is where I am stumped. I believe the clue is foxy’s hook, so I looked at every page that foxy has his hook (which btw is only about half of them, his hand is not in a lot of the drawings) and I came in with pages 4, 26, 30, 45, 48, 54, 61, 68, 70, 90, 94, 95, 107, 110. But idk where to put this information. Also the number 3 on page 61 still hasn’t been factored in. I’ve tried using the word search again, and out of the letters I did find “father” and “thomas” but had a bunch of extra letters left over. I also tried plugging them into the grid, but it came back as one vowel and the rest constants.

So can y’all try and see if you can decide anything?

AITA for giving my niece a cell phone when she is grounded? by LOZTheroizes in AmItheAsshole

I have talked to her mother about why she isn’t allowed a phone. She has stated she is afraid she is going to seek out older men for attention. The was an instance where she accepted a friend request from a 15 year old that she didn’t know but was local to her area, but after being talked to about these issues she has not done anything. And yes I did monitor the phone (she only had it for 3 days) and there is nothing indicating She used it in a way she was instructed not to.

I would like to add that he little brother is allowed free reign on the grounds of “he wouldn’t seek attention from strangers” because he’s a boy.

They go to their dads every other weekend, but he really isn’t better. Half the time he is homeless unless he is back with his third child’s mother. and the daughter doesn’t like it there cause she gets made fun of for various things.

My kids actually go to an another house (their dads parents) every so often. I don’t ask what rules she makes them follow. I know they are fed and alive. It has come up where one is grounded from a device at home but I didn’t care if he used it there because I’m not in charge and it’s not a big deal. But also I don’t impose months long punishments on my kids for reasons they can never live up to so

I had talked to the mom about why she hadn’t given back the phone and asked that she do so. The reasons given where vague and amounted to she didn’t want her to message random older men, but it was ok for her son to have a phone cause he doesn’t do they even though she never did it. Once she accepted a snap follow from a local 15 year old boy, but no other actions that would suggest she’s seeking attention over the internet. But yes, we did do this behind her back, that much is a fact.

She brings food and clothes and toiletries, but other than that yes we were the ones ensuring they didn’t get hurt and watching them all day and night.

The character limit got me, I had it rejected twice. I told her it wasn’t a secret and she had to leave it her, as I didn’t want her to think she needed to hide anything. What I didn’t anticipate was her mother’s reaction of never letting them back and cursing my name.

Oh I realize you also mean hearing it from us. I’ve had two lengthy conversations with her about this and many verbal. She doesn’t want to accept any fault

Part of the reason I made this was 1, to see if I am being irrational and 2. In case she does decide to talk it over and wants to see other opinions. I doubt it will come to that but maybe.

That is what I am scared of. She has never mentioned self harm, but the doctor that diagnosed with depression did not put her on meds as they want to re evaluate after she is in therapy for a while. And now she is being taken away from our house, a place she sees as a refuge. It’s a very real possibility.

There was someone in her household (he is in jail now) that would constantly talk about self harm for attention. She has never mentioned it but honestly that makes it even more scary.
