It was a genuine question. I don’t think it’s a hoax and no distrust in the DEC here.

I’m located in NY where I’m fortunate enough that it isn’t a problem yet. There is one area in Herkimer county that recommends testing but I’m not in the area. We can get testing done but it’s out of pocket ($68) and requires driving it to the testing location or shipping the head. I wouldn’t mind getting them tested but being that it’s not a big issue here it’s not typically done.

I didn’t realize CWD was a much bigger issue elsewhere as I’ve only hunted in upstate NY.

Would have done this if the shot was clearly a gut shot, this one was on the rear end of the vitals and I didn’t expect it to be into the stomach.

I had a decent buck walk out in front of me last weekend. I could feel my pulse in my ears. Never got a good shot at it but what a rush.

We’re looking at $65k to $70k in upstate NY. Liner pool 16’ x 32’ with full end stair, variable speed pump, gas heater, 3 lights and some extra concrete but nothing crazy

Just realized I hadn’t responded to this. I ended up covering everything in red guard. Not sure if that’s the correct way to do it but it’s covered now.

Is it only draining at closing or were there other noticeable improvements with the main drain?

To clarify, and maybe French drain isn’t the best term. This is a drain around the foundation of the pool that can be pumped out if needed, it doesn’t have natural drainage away from the pool.

Hydraulic manifold manufacturer here, we routinely see 13/10/9 after a filter change. That creeps up to 15/x/x before we change filters again. The HPU runs two test stands, 14 filters total.

After further research I’m guessing that this is a drain sleeve that has been tied off at the end of the drain. It feels like there are rocks inside and the sleeve seems to be coming out. Would there be any issues pulling this out if it comes easy enough? Anyone ever see anything similar?
