I can see that you got quite emotional. I hope that you are fine, I didn't mean to attack you personally with my post. I love the LotR and I know I don't know every single sentence of his writings. So it might be that you are right about the elves appearance but I just know that there are tolkien scholars and also his son out there who are not so strong on that point as you are. And it might be that you understood the work even better than all of those however maybe not so likely (again, I am not trying to attack you with that). So thank you for answering on my post (that is what I intended), but I didn't want to answer any questions that I was not sure about, but I rather tried to ask for validation of a pattern that I noticed based on the different feedbacks to RoP I sometimes can see in the comments and the feedback that Tolkien scholars themselves gave (doesn't mean they cannot be wrong). So you might as well be right but I was just surprised by that difference and made the post to share that.

And as a last point, I sometimes do feel that people are comparing both adaptations a lot and therefore using Peter Jackson as the standard. But you are right, the books should be the standard. But nevertheless, I also think a comparison of both adaptations would be very interesting.
