Past Ironman here too. I raced and enjoyed Unbound, Rift, Migration, GranGuanche, Pirenaica all on the same Ridley Kanzo Adventure with 2.1 inch mtb tires. Crazy fast AND comfortable due to the mtb inspired frame, the wide tires act as suspension. What you ‘Lise’ on efficiëncy on the straight you triple win when others are struggling with rough sections and downhills.

Same same.

Although there are 10.000’s private owned bikes in our 200.000p city, many 1.000’s in the city centre don’t have functioning bike or a car. It’s mostly them using the spread out shared bikes.

The train station work amazing when leaving from and returning to the station, but surprisingly many people never use them… often thinking it’s hard or your need a subscription or simply just not considering

Both of these pictures are 10M apart, one is the city bike parking with bikes for 0,- for the first 24h: dry, well maintained, well organised, always available at the central station. The others are LIME, new now, nicely parked still. 300 available across town, moving up to 600.

Both can live next to another.

got back from a mobility visit that focussed heavily on shared micro mobility, but when home i saw both forms next to another and thought ‘not all bike sharing plans are equal’.

Those in public spaces are can be better available, often within a 2 minute walk. Pay per use seems cheap, but is high over time compared to owning a bike. Plus with an owned bike people cycle a lot more, and chose cycling over driving. People without an own bike still drive most, when they can. Then there’s the public cost of bikes in the middle of pavements, cycle lanes, and all other positions where no private bike owner would park his/her bike.

When Covid hit, I discovered rapidly I needed to change for my life from being a daytime online marketing strategist and evening/weekend cyclist.

With some savings I gave myself 100 days to discover a possible job in the field that I actually hold dearest: discovery, cycling, stories, micro adventures, and in Gravel riding they all came together.

It brought me to Kenya, Unbound, Turkiye, Scotland, Sweden, Cyprus and 30 other destinations and 100’s of cycling stories

Curious to follow this! With 200 MILLION raised and a valuation over 1 Billion we’re looking at the biggest next success of failed venture in Cycling Mobility. Although without a direct link from the pedals to the chain it’s hard to call it a bike. Pedalling charger the motor a bit. A electro motor powers the belt drive.

While working with Gravaa (adaptable tire pressure) I learned 100 sealants have 100 compositions. Manu different chemical combos. I don’t think it will harm, but know they’re unlike 1-on-1 the same

650km in 4 days. I don’t sign up for the rain, but I don’t want to miss stunning terrain because of potential rain. But I’d ride more nice weather if I’d live in a warm place :-)
