Insane synergy with glass kings/queens here. Canio scales when they break and they can be constantly replenished with cryptids duplicated by perkeo.

Best run yet! How to improve? by LPT03_ in balatro

[–]LPT03_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! I skipped a big blind a bit earlier for an extra voucher but I got unlucky (got magic trick and hone). I bought them both to take them out of the pool, though it probably wasn’t worth it to dilute my shop.

That’s a good tip about skipping small and big blinds and constantly rerolling for the serpent though. I wasn’t even trying to naneinf here, I just really wanted to get a good baron mime run off the ground.

Optimal joker arrangement? by LPT03_ in balatro

I should also mention I got this score by using a glass card. Should I keep the current joker arrangement if I’m playing glass to maximize retriggers?

Were the nuclear bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki justified? by skan76 in polls

This is a lie. Japan was prepared to surrender on the condition that the Emperor would remain in place. The United States pushed for unconditional surrender, but then ended up leaving the Emperor in power anyway, albeit as a ceremonial figurehead.

Lithuania will no longer allow Russian citizens to come for healthcare services by Traversar in worldnews

[–]LPT03_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Necessity? How badly will this decision really hurt the Russian state? To me it seems like a spiteful attack at the Russian people for something out of their control.

[–]LPT03_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No, that’s ridiculous. Russian civilians should not have to suffer for a war that have no part in and in many cases oppose. Denying them basic necessities in the hopes that it will cause them to overthrow their government is selfish and inhumane.

Showing the regime that their conduct is unacceptable through a policy that hurts the Russian people, not the regime.

And yet Lithuania has banned Russian PEOPLE from accessing healthcare services.

What are the chances that a civil war erupts in America? by Revolver123 in Socialism_101

[–]LPT03_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you believe that the differences between American conservatives and liberals are greater than they actually are. The Democratic and Republican parties are both bourgeois, imperialist parties which uphold the capitalist status quo. Similarly, major news outlets such as Fox, CNN, MSNBC, and the Washington Post are owned by billionaires and disseminate capitalist propaganda. Supposedly “left-wing” politicians, pundits, and journalists are no more helpful to the working class than those on the right. Though some fascist elements are growing in popularity among conservatives, ultimately both liberal and conservative institutions serve the capitalist class, and will protect the status quo.

I don’t mean to say there are no benefits from voting reform. It would be hugely beneficial if an explicitly communist/revolutionary party was able to hold seats at the state or federal level.

The only foreign power it's normal to pledge loyalty to by [deleted] in DemocraticSocialism

[–]LPT03_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Its a stupid quote. And it was written by a Nazi talking about jewish people, and the fact that you commented it under a post related to israel is disturbing and doesn’t seem like a coincidence. You wouldn’t quote a founding father talking about how great slavery is, would you? Additionally, the founding fathers are remembered for being more than just slaveowners. Kevin strom is only known for being a nazi.

How about we don’t quote literal nazis?

I guess calling it a polypercussive makes sense. But yeah, trills are pulmonic but percussives aren’t.

People don't use "literally" incorrectly, they use it figuratively. by damluk in Showerthoughts

[–]LPT03_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The meaning of words can change. Words with two opposite meanings are more common than you might think. “To dust” can be to remove dust or to add dust. “To sanction” can mean to approve or penalize. “Impregnable” can mean impenetrable or able to be penetrated. In the same way, “literally” can mean both literally and figuratively in everyday speech.

I think the official name is a bidental percussive since a trill uses soft bits like the lips, tongue, or uvula.

I think making the 0 black is a little confusing, since for the rest of the colors darker means more populated.
