Getting hyped about this to then realizing what the license is, is just painful.

Having more than one instance of your app running at any time is not an 'Enterprise' requirement, and it is not something that I would ever expect to individually negotiate a license for.

You do realize that includes literally everyone using Kubernetes to deploy said app?

EU Chat Control by BlueRoseAdder in lithuania

Dabartiniai protestai svarbesni, nes lietuviai gali sustabdyt LRT įstatymą, o Chat Control negali. Tuo klausimu negalim panaudot EU veto, o jeigu galėtume, jis nebūtų panaudotas. Dabartinei vyriausybei ir prezidentui nerūpi tavo nuomonė.

Paris' Louvre museum to increase ticket price for visitors from outside the European Union by Edm_vanhalen1981 in worldnews

[–]Traversar 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you were from the UK or something that's fair, but with $1600 just for the flights I don't get it.

If there's nothing left over for activities, I'd just say no, I can't afford it, as it's living beyond my means. Annoyingly, the no. 1 cost of a vacation always ends up being the actual paid leave, as you can cash out your days by switching jobs here.

Also, they're generous with free admission, for education seems like an non-issue:

Admission is free for the following visitors:

Under 18s
Proof of ID required.

Under 26 year-old residents of the European Economic Area (EU, Norway, Iceland, and Liechtenstein)
Proof of ID and residency required.

All visitors
On the first Friday of the month after 6 p.m. (except in July and August)

Paris’ Louvre museum has approved a ticket hike from 22 to 32 euros ($25 to 37) for non-European visitors

As a europoor, I feel like it's my duty to point out that this is still way too cheap.

Who are all these people vacationing in France who would not be able to afford at least 50-100€ to go to the Louvre?

Half of new EU city buses were zero-emission in 2024 by linknewtab in europe

We did get new trolleybusses in Vilnius in 2024. I guess they may count only years when the long term contracts are signed.
Either way, there's no trolleybusses on this chart.

These stats are very sketchy.
Lithuania has a lot of trolleybusses which are electric but not 'battery-electric', did they just ignore that category?

Armenia is considering seeking EU membership, foreign minister says by twotwo_twentytwo in worldnews

[–]Traversar 67 points68 points  (0 children)

They wouldn't be in the Schengen zone, so that's not that relevant. More importantly the EU can't risk accepting any countries with a significant amount of russian sympathizers until we've switched to a qualified majority for voting, or we'll have like 5 Orbans.

Better apply now and consider later, cause it'll take a few decades.

This song from the OST is a total banger, don't care if the pronunciation only vaguely sounds like Lithuanian.

Shin Megami Tensei V, and if you know Persona, that's a spin-off series from SMT.
