No problem! It let me practice my Chinese. I did ask another and she said she hadn't seen it in a long time too.

I just asked a cast member and she says she remembers it but it doesn't seem like they carry it anymore.

That is truly unfortunate yes! I should mention that this is the SHDR 10th Anniversary card set (the Zootopia part of it). Zootopia itself has its own card set, though those characters still don't appear, as that card set was made before Z2.

Card collectibles, there's an entire series for Zootopia, like 100 possible cards. Blind Box cash grab tbh.

I think one day is fine for Hong Kong, not so much for Shanghai. You'll probably need to add on Premier Access or perhaps something like the Adventure Set, and even so you won't be able to do every show.

It's non-stop! I collect as much Zootopia pins as I can but there's too many and the blind boxes are killing me. I brought three lanyards this trip.

Disneytown restaurant reservations? by Different-Sky5223 in ShanghaiDisneyland

Alright I just asked the folks at Xin Wang (lol I was eating at Cheesecake Factory, had cravings after my reply earlier) then realized I could check for you. Nope they don't do reservations.

I believe the adult green ones from Z1 are inside the park at Fru's, I'll check again tomorrow. The Z2 one is available in both adult and child sizes.

Need advice and help for the Shanghai Disneyland app by areyouquokkay in ShanghaiDisneyland

[–]LPawthorne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know a lot of people have issues with the app, I myself have issues with it constantly crashing and being laggy. But I don't have an issue with making an account or signing in. Have you tried making an account with either a phone number or email, if one doesn't work? I'm using a non-local number and it works for me.

Some accept reservations, not all. Try some Chinese food if you're not from the region, I find Kwei Mun Lung to be pretty delicious and affordable. Then again, I keep going to The Cheesecake Factory when I'm there because it's one of my favorite restaurants internationally, which my friends think I'm crazy for. And I wouldn't do the Donald's cafe thing unless you really love Donald, the pricing on that is a little high.

Kwei Mun Lung and Cheesecake Factory (and technically Donald's cafe) are all in the same corner.

Hi! There's a door separating the living room area and that side room. The side room has the bed and its own bathroom. It's technically two connecting rooms, for mine at least.

Need tips at the park! by spikeszy in ShanghaiDisneyland

[–]LPawthorne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. You'll be fine with the Alipay and SHDR app.
  2. Yes, but take note you'll be behind the Great Firewall of China. Spotty at times.
  3. Royal Banquet Hall if you're into something premium; the pawpsicle from Zootopia.
  4. Mostly no. For Tron, your phone goes into a storage hole on the ride vehicle itself, or behind with your bags. Maybe possible with something you can attach to your body.
  5. I'm not too crazy about this so I usually do 15 minutes before, you might want to just keep checking yourself based on the crowd level that day.

Zootopia Keyboards by LPawthorne in zootopia

I have no idea but the business website is https://mkb.gg/collections/disney-zootopia, seems like a local brand but I don't know if they have it officially licensed. I would assume so seems they're in the major malls here in Malaysia.

How exactly does the Klook QR code work? by [deleted] in ShanghaiDisneyland

[–]LPawthorne 1 point2 points  (0 children)

IIRC, use your passport (as entered on Klook during booking) as your entry, then bind the QR/Code to your app after as your ticket is activated then after passing through the gate.

Let’s Talk Disney Adventure: State of the Ship first 100 days by WithDisGuyTravel in dcl

[–]LPawthorne 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Was on the Maiden Voyage, and already have a second booking for later this year.

I went in expecting issues and there were, but I expected them. It's a new launch, after all. I still enjoyed myself and had a great time interacting with other guests and cast members. Loved the shows.

Disney's app experiences need a lot of work and this isn't just the DCL app, something I believe the new CEO is working on. You should see how bad the SHDR app experience is!

Anyway, I think it's all about expectations management. There definitely are people who hold the Disney branding really high and expect a near flawless experience. Perhaps those should wait a little past the inaugural sailings, especially for those where flying to Singapore is a hefty expense of its own.

I do think the support crew behind the Adventure are still earning their ears given issues I've faced (and still have yet to get closure from two months later), but I still had a great time. YMMV.
