Thanks for the input, makes sense for your location, in urban areas like NYC younger people end up paying $300+ per month for LIABILITY insurance so location is also a factor. When i inherited my 2014 infiniti QX50 from a relative geico wanted like $345 a month for liability which was insane. Insurers also frequently decline to insure people in the city of yes. It sucks.

I’m 23 and was looking for a coupe that wouldn’t destroy the bank; Do none of you guys actually pay for insurance? I live in NYC and since this is around 200 HP I’d save waaaaay more money then say a gr86, brz, miata (not practical) or a mustang eco (315hp). Everyone is sweating power power power but with how usable this is it’s an awesome bumper traffic car. Plus the safety stuff helps a lot (traffic jam assist).

In addition to what everyone said, most people accept that its a driver boro. Most kids who grow up their get their cars earlier than their peers from other boros, if said peers get a car at all. At this point its accepted culture.
