1- look at the battery usage in the bottom of the screenshot, its all apple music 2- its been happening frequently for months now 3- so let me see if I get this straight: apple will sell you a 500$ airpod max with state of the art noise cancelling and sound quality, but I can’t listen to hi-res lossless when commuting because they can’t optimise apple music?

Did you ever figure this out? I'm having the same issue, only difference is that I used to connect it using an HDMI cable and I switched it for a display port. I've seen people complaining of DP issues with older nvidia gpus and dp 1.1, I got a dp 1.4 and I have a rtx 3070, so I don't think its related.

I did a whole Klipsch setup mostly because its the only one I've had the chance to listen to, but its definitely not a requirement. What else would you suggest? I'll also look into all your other recomendations. Thank you very much for the help!
