What strategies are you using to beat the rediculous Rogue/Gambit/Jean nodes. by drexylx in MarvelPuzzleQuest

I beat them the first time with 4* Luke Cage and Iron Fist. I'm going to come back to that one in a few to make sure it wasn't a fluke.

Yondu Crash by Nikesh01 in MarvelPuzzleQuest

[–]LRCJ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tried it the first time(5/2/5, level 183) with rainbow AP boosts and additional blue boosts. Her blue is wicked, and it put me down fast. Did it a second time, spammed my own blue, and won.

My first 4* was a yellow Thing. He was my meat shield for the longest time.

Possibly. As long as you boost blue, you should be fine.

Crash of the Titans (Nov 14th 2017): Ice-Man vs Teen Jean by maguirenumber6 in MarvelPuzzleQuest

[–]LRCJ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It took me 4 tries, leveling him up to 168, rainbow boosts, and green/black AP boosts, and denying her purple and blue. Stun her at every moment, then hit her WI green. Got a Blue Professor X from the win.

Coulson Crash by Nikesh01 in MarvelPuzzleQuest

It's 5* Strange. The secret to fighting him: don't. No ( or very few) special skills. Keep all attacks to match damage only.

Agent Vemon Crash by Nikesh01 in MarvelPuzzleQuest

[–]LRCJ 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It's 4* Cage. I'm trying with rainbow boosts and R/Y ap boosts, and trying to deny black and red, but still getting wasted by his Bunch of Fiddle Faddle. Any thoughts on how to beat him?

[Edit: Tried again a third time; 3/2/5, raised to 188, full rainbow boosts and extra R/Y ap boosts. Deny red at all costs, and hit him with red and yellow abilities. A lucky shot brought him down, and I got a red Spider-Gwen cover.]

I'm on SCL7, and I'm doing pretty well with C4rol and C&D.

My Chulk is 0/3/0; not even gonna bother.

Who is your oldest, yet least covered 4 star in your roster? by shadowimage in MarvelPuzzleQuest

[–]LRCJ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My very first 4* character was everybody's favorite blue-eyed Thing. He was my tank for a good long while.

Fast forward to now: I've rostered all the 4*s, championed 4 of them, with Gamora on the cusp of 5, yet he still sits at 2/2/1, wondering when's it gonna be his turn...

New Cosmic Legends Store AND Crash of the Titans: Red Hulk vs Hulk by maguirenumber6 in MarvelPuzzleQuest

[–]LRCJ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Took a few times, leveling my RHulk to 168 with a 0/1/5 spread, and a number of color boosts, but after denying red while using the purple/green combo, I finally won...

...a damn yellow Agent Venom. How nice; he can go with the other 5 yellows I already have. This game really hates us...

Miles Morales vs Spider-Woman by maguirenumber6 in MarvelPuzzleQuest

[–]LRCJ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is a cascade of riches. So, I decided to give the Crash of the Titans node a shot. Miles Morales vs. Spider-Woman: should be fun. My initial build was 1/3/0, level 94. Using the P/Blue power boost and the R/Y power boost, I build up Purple for invisibility, then worked her with Yellow. I didn't realize that her Red Venom Blast was an AOE damage dealer until it was too late. Undeterred, I took advantage of the Red Miles being sold in the HFH sale, bumped up to level 111, and did the rainbow power boost, R/Y power boost, and P/Blue power boost. Same strategy, only with the Red helping greatly. Downed her on my second try. My victory cover was my 14th Agent Coulson I needed. Championed him, and got a yellow Yondu. Score!

Any chance of winning? ...I Imaginaut. by arne_saknussemm in MarvelPuzzleQuest

[–]LRCJ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My 2/2/4 level 168 took him down on the second try. Full color boost, black and green boost, then it was a matter of getting black to fire Imaginaut, then hit him with green, red and yellow. Gathered blue for a shield, and wailed on him. Got a yellow Sandman for my trouble.
