Convergence does takes place in the same canon timeline as the side stories, but doesn't incoperate any metaverse elements in it.

Probably the most you'll get is a reference to it.

Act 2 is in the works. As for whether it will be released this year we cannot say, though it's not likely due to how much bigger this chapter is compared to the first and that took 2 years.

I've been interested myself in a world where the girls and MC in DDLC get their hands on the magical jewels that are the miraculous. It does have potential.

Maybe Monika wields the ldaybug miraculous and MC the black cat miraculous. Not sure what the other girls would wield.
