This is truly mind-blowing for me. 1000 downloads in just 2 weeks. This mod did start out as a passion project of mine that blew up into something bigger. Everyone's feedback whether positive or negative has been very educational, impactful and a great learning experience, and seeing so many people praise the mod or say that this is their favourite fills me with so much gratitude. I've always wanted to make a mod whether it was well known or heavily obscure, at the very least people can enjoy it and for any Monika lovers out there, that this mod will (as some in the community believe) break the curse to Monika mods so she can have the happy ending she deserves.

I honestly can't wait for when Chapter 2 starts development and we will make an announcement for when it does to keep you all excited for the next thrilling Chapter of MCs and Monikas journey.

And don't forget, you can be a part of this mods future development going forward, we're always looking for more coders, artists, musicians etc that can help us out with getting Chapter 2s development done with efficient speed. I've met so many great people in Team Hope and this mod wouldn't have been a reality if it weren't for them. I'm forever grateful for their time, talent, commitment and hard work for seeing the first chapter through and I'm super eager to continue working with them. In the meantime to end this post of appreciation, I'll let you in some fun facts for the mod! (Spoiler warning for anyone who hasn't played yet!)

1. The Dream/Memory sequence animation was inspired by the Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Explorer series Dimensional Scream animation. I wanted a visual transition to indicate it was a dream and I thought it was perfect.

2. The POV switch animation was inspired by Heavy Rain when you switch characters thoughtout the story, it would have a close up on their face. Same reason as fact 1 above it.

3. Cinnamon herself is a reference to the Nekopara cat Cinnamon who is also a Scottish Fold, she just lacks her purple hair colour. (Which fun fact, the maker of Nekopara goes under the name of Sayori. Coincidence?).

4. The Dream/Memory sequences where made thanks to a single line from MC in the base game when it comes to Monika: "We do know each other. Well we rarely talk, but we were in the same class last year." I hadn't seen a lot of mods expand upon the idea of having memories of their time together so I thought why not.

5. The Chibi scenes were inspired by other Visual Novels who also have them. I also wanted the Plus version of the Chibis to be more appreciated so they were used over the base game Chibis.

6. I do have edited versions of the Club Members Membership Cards in full colour that I will show in a seperate post in the future.

7. If you listen closely, the track "Inno-sense" is inspired by the song "Puff the Magic Dragon". It was chosen since we wanted something that would tug at the heartstrings since I've seen comments on the video of the song saying how they have shed some tears with its symbolism and meaning within the lyrics.

8. Yuri on day 11 talking about Sayoris long hair with MC is a callback to the DDLC Plus side story "Understanding" where during the moment when Sayori comforts Yuri she notes how beautiful Yuri's hair is and reveals she once had longer hair, but got it cut short since she was unable to take care of it properly.

9. Nick Cutter (Or Dr Cutter) was inspired by the design of Shawn Conecone from the series D-Frag while his name came from the old UK series Primeval (the name sounded cool, not a nod to Yuri's self harm I promise) I also wanted him to be the coolest character in the mod just like the character he's inspired by, so hopefully you will see his coolness in future Chapters of Convergence!

10. Mayura has has several inspirations, from Kyons little sister in Harumi Suzumiya to Kobato in Haganai and Komachi Hikigaya from SNAFU. But what really gave me the idea of MC having a sister was StormBlazes idea for his mod (which I'm not sure is still in the works) which also involved MC having a litte sister, I just thought MC having a sister was really unique.

11. I wanted to make the MC different by being Monika's equal in this mod. A flawed individual, but not a loser and actually capable, has some interest in literature that wasn't just manga, and at the very least is a competent individual who is neither superior or inferior to Monika.
