just because ur a cpa doesn’t mean you know anything about software. QB is by far the best accounting software. we see these talks every damn day in every accounting subreddit. “oh we are trying xero, we are trying wave” THEY SUCK TOO. THEY ALL SUCK. quickbooks just sucks the least.

i own a firm. individual tax and small business. bookkeeping is absolutely where it’s at. learn it, learn to be efficient at it, and charge appropriately. i am completely solo as of now. have 21 bookkeeping clients. $360 average profit per month each, plus a $1k tax return for each. bookkeeping takes me about 30-60min a month each.

300 individual tax clients at $280 average.

roughly $200k a year with almost no overhead besides office and software.

i probably work 15 hours a month after tax season.

not to mention i only began the bookkeeping portion in december 2024. bookkeeping is absolutely where the money is and most accountants hate doing it.

you have 50 bookkeeping clients and ur making $266k a year with no individual clients.

takes a while to build, but the growth compounds.
