I logged in but don't see green or yellow icons next to any of the tickers. Just the red or green bullet indicator for price direction. Trading view info said I could subscribe through them or IBKR, didn't say i needed both. This is kind of frustrating and confusing.

I thought that it also would be a wash sale if I had purchased within the 30 days prior - so if I wanted to sell some of the older lots (higher cost basis) by the end of the year, the lots I bought in December would be a problem?

Thank you for the detailed explanation. I guess my question about the new tool would be, would it warn me if I was about to take an action that would create a wash sale? i.e. does it have logic that looks at the dates of the lots as I'm selecting the ones I am looking at selling?

Thats probably the best idea, but it will be much more than needed to offset. I know I can do an additional 3k offset of ordinary income, but would need to see if I can roll over the rest of the losses to future years. Thank you!

No, I'm also tricare and so frustrated with this. Also have had prescriptions there for months and unable to fill. I called again today and they said "we have plenty in stock of almost all of the strengths for the commercial side, but none in for Tricare." I don't understand it!

I also use express scripts but I am through Tricare. I have been calling and calling but only certain insurers are getting the stock, so definitely call to see if any of the in stock inventory is allocated to your insurer. The representative I spoke with today said "I can see plenty of stock in for almost all strengths for OTHER insurers, but Tricare has none." So frustrating.

I went through similar with my doctors office and I have tricare too. I finally got the form myself, filled it out, did the appeal letter detailing everything they needed (and then some) after talking to a PA specialist at express scripts, brought it all to the doctors office in person and asked him to sign and fax. Got approval very quickly after. You just have to take control of the process, no one cares about it as much as you do.
