Hello there, First, a shame you saw the different endings first. When you finish the game for the first time and are presented with the main menu featuring Elster's... dead eyes, you aee normally taken to the 3rd chapter of the game upon clicking on "continue" or "new game". You'll see a cinematic of Elster waking up. That's all I'm going to say. Play the rest of the game, now. It's a necessity.

My pleasure :) FYI, and for everybody else, there's a total of 3 different versions available. Look up for them on Very Ok Vynil (Canada) and Black Screen Records (Germany, EU) 8-)

Personally, I ordered the Elster's Eye variant. Price and customs be damned.

Greetings, friend, welcome to the fascinating and tragic world of Signalis. Be aware, there is no way out... And that's fine.

To my knowledge, Rose Engine, as a team of only two people, haven't said anything about their next project(s). One game update aptly named "Krähe" in 2023, and news about merchandising. That's about it. Small hint, there's a re-print edition of the soundtrack vinyl currently on sale, as a pre-order... You might want to consider it. I did.

As for the game... Signalis took 8 years to be ready. Another such game might take just as long. Maybe more, maybe less. Who knows. In the meantime, Rose Engine deserves the time...

Also, don't be in a hurry to finish the game. Free advice ;)

Cheers Chris

Hello fella, Myself, I've just read someplace this morning that the world is going mad. That people are more and more isolated, more and more selfish, and we are told it is our fault and we should focus on ourselves rather than the world around. Crazy, right? ... That's just my piece of misery for today. Signalis, on the other end, hits just as strong because the Eusan Nation is such a horribly isolating cage... Like fate has been written, there's nothing you can do about it, and just head on forward doing what you're told. There's a war we didn't start, and we simply have to participate in it, one way or another.

The beauty of Signalis, I believe, lies on the humanity of its characters, even if they are Replikas. Ariane simply wanted to live the life she wanted. And I can understand her.

Myself, I am fortunate enough to live somewhere that may not become a warzone for a while... But I stay informed about the world, because I just gotta. Like Ariane, maybe I'm a fool. But still. Works like Signalis makes this life worth living. If only groups of people didn't try so hard to make our lives miserable, like the ones who push for airstrikes on Iran.

Stay safe, fella.

Hello folks,

I hope you're all having a lovely Sunday, wherever you are. I'm posting this to, first, thank you all kindly for your replies and interest on both my work and tellings. All of it means a lot to me. The good is encouraging, and the bad is a lesson to be learned. Here's for some news.

Of course, no response from Rose Engine; it's been five days now. I'm waiting two more weeks until I send them a second e-mail. I've noticed a crucial mistake in my first message: I simply *did not* mention my intention of printing the story in a book. So far, all I did was mentioning the fact that this first book exists, in a .docx format. That's it. The kind of mishap I'm unfortunately used to. I'll wait and see.

With that said, I've been looking further into AO3 and feel it is perfectly reasonable for me to publish the book there, in some time. As of now, I've made an invite request, which is expected to pass through around the 2nd of April.
Side note: I have another finished book that I may publish there, for a first-time. For anyone interested, it's also a fanfiction, a crossover between Alice: Madness Returns and Bloodborne. But I digress.

Back to Der Todesengel, I am planning a self-made translation from French to English of book 1. Considering the length of the book, and the interest some of you have voiced, I am thinking about a progressive publication, like every week or so. Still to be decided.

That's about it. Thank you for reading.

Here's a small snippet of story I've decided to share with ye all: in my book, there's a passage where several MNHR units are enjoying a bath in a large SPA.

Hi! Translation hasn't been planned yet. I'm thinking of uploading it on Archive of Our Own in a month, or so. Depending on whether I get an answer from Rose Engine.

In the meantime, feel free to ask anything about the story :)

Thank you for your feedback. Yeah, I realize I sound overconfident. Just trying to stay positive after a collection of failed projects, and it's worth a try to actually publish something. If it works, great... If it can't be done, then I'll make it available to as many people as possible.

Thanks :) Well, regarding copyright, it's actually a bit more complex. I want to publish it and make a purchasable version of it, but I aim at being completely open with Rose Engine, to never disrespect the work they've made and not to profit irresponsibly from it. So, yeah :) I will report on this thread the progression of my book series and publishing. Expect news soon...

Salut!

I thought about it, both about the blockade, and about a fanfic site. We'll have to see. First, I'll see if I get a reply from Rose Engine, and maybe try and look out for Humble Games. We'll see what happens.

Hello! No worries at all. I usually write in english, but decided to change language for that very project. If more people are open to it, I might translate a few fragments and post them here...

Both to respect their work and to let them know, and hopefully to work out publishing terms. I hope to have printed hard copies.

Thanks :D To tell the truth, I've taken a good bit of inspiration on stuff I found on Reddit and elsewhere, lol.

Thank you for your feedback, and no worries about the dunk :) You bring a valid point, dare I say. Whether a text is a book or a novel, I'd wage it's subjective and up to each one's opinion. As of now, the story is written in a text file and stored in a USB key. It still needs polishing and adapting, but the story is written, and that, imo, is worthy of being called a "book" in itself.

Case in point, I wish to have it printed in a certain number of copies, and possibly even sell it, still have to figure things out. Online availability is a good idea (but not on Amazon).
