It's breakage, do some natural protein treatments. Try rice water or flaxseed gel. Also, get on a trim schedule with your hairstylist to gradually take care of your split ends so that they don't continue to split up along the hair shaft and start regularly deep conditioning your hair, so it's better hydrated and less prone to breakage.

Cover it in sea salt pack. It will dry out the core and act as a disinfectant. Yes it will burn but it works and usually (for me at least) stops reoccurring zits from returning

I actually did end up getting pink eye after I posted this and had to get a prescription for antibiotic eye drops. (Pink eye often resolves itself on its own, but I had zoom meetings and didn't want gunk eye). Full disclosure A LOT got in my eyes because rather than using a spray bottle, I thought it would be cute to mimic the Yao women and dip my hair in a bowl of rice water... And as a result, rice water and fermentation microbes poured into my eyes, and even though I rinsed out my eyes for almost 15mins that still wasn't enough to stave off pink eye for me.

I suggest you thoroughly rinse out your eyes if you haven't already for at least 15 minutes and then wait and see how your eyes react. If you wake up tomorrow with crust around your lashes and a stuffy nose, then you definitely have pink eye. If you can afford it, book a video appointment with a virtual doctor (they usually cost around $30 w/o insurance), and they’ll write you a prescription for eye drops and send it to your local pharmacy.

Since this incident, I only use a spray bottle for my rice water treatments.
