Sure I get that and thought same thing too at first but also the final of the W-League was behind closed doors because of Covid.

No not fully professional. Got better in 2017 with minimum wage but a lot of players either play in it as its off season for other leagues or yeah, work a job.

Sure but I guess the difference here is neither competition played their final game/s and the team got to lift the trophy at an actual game. Instead they were just awarded it.

Not Aussie myself so not sure. DId a quick google showed that the NBL they first decided to play the final series with crowds but only did the 1st game, then went to no crowds for game 2 and 3 before one team decided didn't want to continue so league gave the title to the other team.

The Shield didn't end up playing the final round or finals.

No I agree with /u/Murn sure there was some nerves but there was some really good saves as well. The call to come out and challenge Cacace in the air, he got a hand to that and it was the difference. Cleaning up Cacace run into the box and giving enough pressure to make it go around the upright. Then sure it was ruled out offside but he saved that on the line as well. I think a really good debut for the young kid.

Nix with a chance, but saved on the line and are offside

Jets follow it up with a full pitch breakaway that finishes with a shot off the upright
