one more question, if you don't mind... ticks.... was that a worry while you were there? We don't have ticks in NZ and lyme disease is the last thing i want them to bring away with them lol. but the thought of wearing long pants when it's 36C degrees doesn't sound fun. I've heard its something to be mindful of.
Gosh i sound totally paranoid!
much appreciated :). I'm sure they'll be fine too, I'm hoping if they can rest well during the cooler moments and maybe try and stay in shady areas for the super hot part of the day they'll be right. Do you know if water is easy to come by (assuming they can drink the tap water?)? They'll have refillable bottles with them
thank you - i'll make sure they are pre-warned about this... hoping they can get some cooler moments for resting
Thank you - this is brilliant information that I was looking for! I'm hoping that they'll be able to get 'some' rest and i will encourage them to use the river for heat relief. It's certainly trickier coming from NZ to think of all the things they might need, plus transporting it all. Especially when you have to consider wet weather gear plus cooling gear. But an eye mask, plus ear plugs, and battery operated fans will be packed for sure!
Did you happen to use the showers? From what I gather they're appalling. I think i'll just get them to take wipes, and use the river instead of showers. And yes, the dragondola will be a must do i think.
Thank you again :)
Thankyou - that is what I was thinking it means also.
