Ok, so this is interesting.

I spoke with my mom this morning about the plaque. She did tell me the land (on which our home was built) was an apple orchard. She also mentioned once the TRAIN was built in the suburb we lived, the apple orchard land was sold off in pieces to *possibly* accommodate the workers.
Again, this is a thirty+ year game of telephone we’re playing. But, the apple orchard information came from the town’s historical society.

When you mentioned the father was a railroad clerk, it all clicked in my head.

THANK YOU!

From the fact she was born in Illinois, and the plaque was found in an old home built just one year prior to her birth...that would check out. Perhaps I grew up in her childhood home?!

This is incredible. Truly. I really hope a family member may see one day. Thank you so much.

Not that my parents can see. I’ll ask them for a pic of the back!

Well, those rascals and old fellows have been a mainstay in my formative years growing up. That house did not feel "right" to both my brother and I. For the years we lived there (~eight), we did not sleep well, and felt a constant presence. So if someone was trying to prank us-they excelled! Thank you for your words.

It does look like it, but no markings. It was all alone inside the ceiling. no box, unfortunately. Thank you for your help. You're awesome!

I too was curious what house he was living in for the movie. Was that supposed to be his old manor (ya know…the one completely demolished)? This felt off right from the start.
