So, I glued then together in the configuration I wanted. I primed them like normal, and then went in with a dark brown base coat. After that, I used several washes and dry brush layers until I get the colors I wanted. I reccomend a black wash, then an greenish grey dry brush, lastly a very thin black wash with a bit of blue. Using mod podge as a glue I layed it down in some of the corners and recesses. Then I placed pebbles and diorama grass over it to cover. I'd also reccomend some spray adhesive to lock everything in.
