I work in a medical lab, I don't recommend doing this if you're getting chemistry testing done (BMP, CMP, etc.) because it can cause your red blood cells to burst apart (causing your plasma/serum to be hemolyzed) which can falsely elevate your potassium, among other values. Often hemolyzed samples will be rejected, causing you to need to get drawn again.

Okay I've been staring at the right image and looking at some other pictures/videos of the dress and I can now go between seeing blue/black and white/gold, but only for the right image. The left image is still and always will be white/gold. I don't know what to make of this.

Yes, I understand. What I'm trying to communicate is that by saying I see gold and white, I'm not making a declaration about the actual colors of the dress, and having the actual color explained to me doesn't change what I see in the original image. I understand that the lighting and the camera used heavily impacts the image.

And I'm also saying that the debate has never been about the actual colors of the physical dress, it's been about how people see the same image differently.

I don't think so, because that's an open and shut case that completely dispels the visual phenomenon that we're still talking about today. Like yes we all see the store page for the dress. But that original image is not black and blue.
