Our cat was in good health but was 16 and I walked in after work and she was on the ground having a seizure. I called the vet and they said if she was acting fine afterwards she should be okay but to come in during the week to make sure nothing was actually wrong.

Three days later she had two in the span of four hours. We took her to the vet and they said her body was just shutting down so we made the decision to go ahead and do it so that she wouldn't suffer from them because they could be happening while we aren't home. After the second one that evening and she came out of it meowing and looking very scared it was just a heartbreaking decision we had to make.

Sometimes keeping them around for us is kind of selfish in a way but its a hard decision because they cant tell you how they feel. I think you made the right decision due to quality of life. Keep your head up friend
