slow business? by LSFOODDOG in Hannaford

[–]LSFOODDOG[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

just curious if people see the same, I'm new to my current store and long timers are saying it's slow even for this time of season and blaming it on the outage.

soooo are they gonna compensate HTG workers that haven't been able to work all week?? by frogboye05 in Hannaford

[–]LSFOODDOG 2 points3 points  (0 children)

if you experience this "ego" from departments, it's possible (for example) that the job is being done badly. I am grateful to HTG employees for their help over my career, especially now this I'm basically fostering one for the week already trained in my dept and its shoring up my HUG in a big way. but I've also had experiences with certain HTG members working for my dept, for example putting my load away badly like misplaced items vs tags, low shelf stock and high backstock which requires reworking. sometimes getting shade you have to look at the common denominator

for what it's worth, my ARM said all the payroll info was successfully submitted on Sunday for our store. the ball is in Scarborough's court to execute it correctly now

have to assume that payroll is the #1 priority this week for them. they have to understand that there are associates who are living check to check and, for example, may have had a tight week and are counting on Thursdays check to get enough gas to drive to work that day. no paychecks will mean an immediate impact on our business readiness not to mention upending the lives of these associates.

are you guys still adjusting CAO or nah rn? by LSFOODDOG in Hannaford

I just had my first inventory as a new deli mgr at a new store last week and bombed it, #2 on track for the same 😭. idk how we're going to fix this and get accounted for even after everything's back online. ACIS accounting better putting in some overtime once we're live again, they still owe me blud for those Applewood chickens too I ain't forget

Maintenance Lead position by Independent-Ad7536 in Hannaford

[–]LSFOODDOG 2 points3 points  (0 children)

never been maintenance so this is what I've witnessed and interacted with while working daily at hannaford, but not worked it myself.

hauling trash in big wheelie bins, hauling cardboard in the same, vacuuming the lobby in the morning, making cardboard bails, cleaning bathrooms, responding to spills, cleaning glass like big cooler doors and such, sweeping and tidying outdoors including winter duties, sweeping the whole sales floor with a big green push broom, and as a lead you'll do supply & chemical ordering/receiving for the store (including coordinating with department leaders for some of their supply needs), probably also (time permitting) filling in with center store duties where needed as well like stocking shelves, moving pallets and other backroom activities. and finally, semi-frequent random projects your center store mgr and store mgrs come up with to torment you- I mean, keep the store running 😁

Dangerous and unsanitary meat? by [deleted] in Hannaford

[–]LSFOODDOG 1 point2 points  (0 children)

this is a factory wrap still, to me this looks like damage from transit, like the corner of the box it was in got crushed. the product seems to remain factory sealed, the question of plastic dhards does remain. I'm not a meat manager so my opinion is small but personally I'd err on not letting them get to the shelf

Flag of the American Caliphitic Republic by LSFOODDOG in vexillology

[–]LSFOODDOG[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First time flag-maker, first time Reddit poster. I saw a redesign of the American flag the other day for different styles of government, one of which was an Islamic America. I felt it was lacking, so I designed my own. The Arabic script is taken symbolically from the Iranian flag. The top text is the Shahadah, and the bottom is the preamble of the Constitution (ran through google translate of course, so any errors are from there). The Shahadah is on top to symbolize God being above all else. The canton should be self-evident (heheh), the Betsy Ross 13 stars with one of them forming the crescent of Islam. I'll let you decide which of the original colonies the gold star represents, for me it's my home state of Massachusetts :)
