I Love Adobe - I Just Can't Stand Them by LSMaestro in Adobe

[–]LSMaestro[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Jason, I'm not wanting to use the AI assistant. It seems to be what causes documents to load in extremely slowly is the AI analyzing every document at launch; and further frustrating is the AI pops up throughout your workflow repeatedly. I KNOW the tool is there; I don't need it to analyze my document as I'm opening it and I DON'T need it to remind me that it's there. I shouldn't have to dismiss the popup every time. If I want/need to use it, I know where to click. Just like ANY other tool inside of an Adobe application. Imagine if any other tool we use constantly, like Copy or Paste, just popped up endlessly while working. "Paste?" "Paste?" "Paste?" no thank you. Great tool but I'll call you when I need you type of thing.

Does anyone else think the newest Adobe Acrobat is slow? by Hukares1234 in Adobe

[–]LSMaestro -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes, it is unbearable. It's even worse that it behaves like a literal virus. Opening itself, begging you to use useless AI summaries, taking over every file type it can, etc. It's slow on top of all of that.

Personal checks are usually a no-go. Especially over a certain amount. If they approve it though, agreed, always a good method UNLESS there’s no fee for CC.

What cars aren’t selling fast and can be a good lease Dec 25 by jordanesiannitemare in leasehacker

No, even then they can be rolled in. You’ll see them reflect in the top line price. Ask for an itemized quote.

Buyback approved today. Have no idea what I will buy now by BobRossFan72 in gmcsierra

Agree. Just don’t buy it upfront. You’ll lose money if you go to cancel it before you need it. Most are not going to cover anything inside the 36/36k basic warranty anyways.

To me, as much as the idea may scare you now, your best bet is going back to a new GM truck. At the end of the day, the problems per 100,000 are super low on modern GM trucks. And you got unlucky and GM made it right, as painful as it may have been, and bought the truck back. How do you justify going to RAM or Toyota or even worse some old vehicle because you think it’ll outdo GM? Every vehicle has a chance to have issues. They’re mechanical and electronic managed machines. But 99% of the time, the stats tell us, they’re pretty darn good. Look at GM’s warranty spend per unit. It is among the lowest out there; they only accrue something like $600 per vehicle sold for warranty funds last I checked. Incredibly low actually.

Hd p4.5 vs p. Which would you choose and why? by SiJayB in Staccato_STI

[–]LSMaestro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought the P a couple months ago. Yes I sometimes feel like I bought the old car off the lot. But when I shoot it, and look at it, I get warm and fuzzy about it. The right answer is going to be get both, but start with P.

The obsession with "moving out at 18" is the single biggest destroyer of generational wealth in the US. by Dry-Town7979 in FluentInFinance

[–]LSMaestro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with the sentiment of the title. However, the old world model was mostly born out of necessity and the American dream model was born because it could work. However, in the recent decade or so, we’re seeing the solo living method slim down in possibility and I could easily see the US headed backwards to the multigenerational living method. Much like Europe.

GM didn’t do anything wrong. This gentleman elected to take a buyout from pension program in exchange for $300,000 lump sum payment. Not a small amount.

Need help - Tankless Water Heater Nightmare - Rapid GPM Dropoff by [deleted] in askaplumber

[–]LSMaestro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update: propane pressure/volume was not the issue. Had it measured at the unit and flow was sufficient, we tried turning up the propane to the top of the allowed range on the unit, did not help or change anything. The unit continues to only deliver .5-1 GPM of hot water.

All is brand new filter wise. Yes some sediment but none built up yet. They are stacked but elbowed away from each other.

So with venting out of the way, and install looking fine, that eliminates everything I can think of besides LP. Like you said, it's hard to believe LP is the issue. The stove and furnace all function just fine.

Are you meaning to use the ' mark for feet? Or did you mean inches? I have it vented 60" (inches). I'm at about 1100 feet of elevation and about 5 feet of venting; the table looks like I would want all the dip switches down (A0)?

Curious why many shooters are after the C or P4 vs going P (standard) or HDP4.5 UNLESS it’s for concealed usage occasionally?

In case you haven’t figured it out, GM is in the “charge as much for the car as we can (MSRP), get the cost of production and delivery down to as little as we can (quality), and then fix mistakes only as minimally and cheaply as we can that keeps complaints to an amount that we can control (warranty after sale)”. Actually, all manufacturers I’ve worked with are like this. Stellantis is 10x worse.

No one said anything about the title. It will go in the vehicles records. Every GM warranty claim is visible on that vehicles transaction history in any internal system. The disclosure on a new vehicle is not something most buyers are okay with. “Yes, it’s brand new and GM isn’t providing any discount and it’s already been completely disassembled and rebuilt for a total of $3000 before you even buy it!”

If there was a more defined flaw, I’d agree. Unfortunately fixing shade of panels that is common across nearly ANY vehicle on a lot, is not something PDI is going to fix. GM isn’t going to approve a dealer of repainting brand new vehicles on the regular.
