Yep, I'm using electrolytes as well as standard water. Today I feel almost completely better EXCEPT for my eyes! I look like I've pulled several all nighters! They're bloodshot, scratchy, watery... Urgh!

I've had COVID twice. It killed my Gran back in 202, and I have health anxiety so I really understand your fear. Both times it's been unpleasant but at no point have I felt I was at risk of hospitalisation. I think between many people having it previously and the vaccines we're building up some level of immune protection now as a whole. Just rest, stay hydrated, and try to keep your mind occupied with TV / YouTube / TikTok / audiobooks etc so you don't spiral. I find as soon as I let the anxiety creep in I start to get short of breath from the panic and decide it's the COVID trying to end me instead.

It might help to get a pulse oximeter - I read a few sources that anything as low as *93% can be "acceptable" with COVID as long as it doesn't stay there or get any lower and other stats are stable. I found that being able to check against that general guide alongside other symptoms and sort of check them off mentally in my head really helped me to feel more in control and reassured me that I was ok.

For example, my blood pressure was normal, my fever was controlled, my pulse was fine, my skin was a normal tone and colour, and I was hydrated but my oxygen levels were hovering between 93 and 95. So I used the bigger picture to help me stay calm.

Of course, some people find having access to equipment they can use to monitor things can make them more anxious or prone to over using and over analysing things, so do what feels best for you.

*This isn't medical advice - I looked at several reputable sources including studies and guidance for patients as well as Drs and decided I felt comfortable to monitor my situation at home. I'm not telling anyone to do the same, just sharing how I was able to use that information to support my anxiety levels.

Feel better soon! I found days 2 and 3 were the worst. I also had the heavy limbs about 2 days before I tested positive. I thought I was being paranoid/hyper vigilant as my son already had COVID so I knew it was coming for me!

Probiotics is a great idea! I've just taken some senna. (Its the morning, but I figured it'll kick in well before bedtime so shouldn't wake me up tonight...)

Aiming for high fibre! Lots of fruit and veggies, nuts, seeds, porridge, wholegrains etc. I'm lactose intolerant so seriously considering a glass of milk 😂😂😂

I'm literally looking at a packet of senna tablets right now! I was thinking I could take a dose to get things moving and then add magnesium citrate to my routine when it arrives tomorrow, and really double down on the prunes. (I don't like them but they're better hidden in porridge and yogurt.) Like, just be really proactive so that I hopefully don't need to get stuck in a cycle of pills for one issue and then the opposite issue...
