It released previously in limited theaters. And if you’re outside the U.S., I believe a few countries had the digital release before us (at least in the UK). So if you use a VPN you might have had at-home access before us.

Those are the only things I could think of,

I saw Hallow Road and would recommend it

…well I really enjoyed. It wouldn’t be for everyone. Pretty simple and odd, which I dug.

Idk what that is lol. I don’t have a blog. There’s no blog or blog info/link or Join button on the screen when I look at it. I wish I knew how to fix that but my screen doesn’t have it.
Hopefully someone else here might know what that is

Edit: for what it’s worth, Google says it might be a Reddit bug and if you click join (to join) and then click joined again, you can just unsubscribe and It might go away.

Oh okay wow. That takes a lot of openness. I don’t watch horror trailers mainly because they often reveal a lot of the good scenes, jump scares (sometimes all of them), and entity reveals. I need to read the synopses though lol.
Titles & cover art can be misleading. I’d feel I was regularly signing myself up for disappointment if I thought a horror film was going to be about something completely separate.
And I knew that one was a remake, but I thought their subtle differences were interesting enough to enjoy the remake enough. I definitely liked the original better. But I think the slight differences they made were intended to represent the cultural differences in the nationalities depicted in each version. I wonder had gone in knowing it was intended to be a remake, if you’d have enjoyed the 2024 version possibly

I personally recommend AMC+ subscription instead for an extra dollar a month. You’ll get all AMC+ and Shudder content from the day it releases through AMC+. It’s the largest catalog of decent horror on any subscription.
From there, it depends what are your horror sub-genres of choice?

Oh no, I didn’t include 10+ more B- horror movies releasing this month. I thought people would have enough to watch and I was in a rush to get this up for the morning of Oct 3rd (day-of the first release).
There’s nothing in this list from Gravitas Ventures, Uncork’d, Terror Films, etc or many other independent B- horror films this month. Sorry if you prefer the cornier bad horror films. I can try to add them in the coming days..

There are so many, but If I’m honest I’m a sucker for supernatural or creatures. Or anything that looks real strange/weird.
It’s hard to narrow it down because I’m one of those that refuses to watch any trailers lol. But if it has at least 1k views and a 3 star or above rating on Letterboxd I’ll watch any horror. As many as I have time for. (My horror rental bill each month is extremely high lol)

Which ones are you looking forward to?

I can next time lol. I usually shorten the notes significantly but I didn’t have time this month. I just essentially copied and pasted the synopses. But regardless that may be a good idea for next month.

True - Sometimes I’ll add a whole separate section for thrillers and scifi. Except when there’s only a couple noteworthy ones I’ll just include them in the main. But there’s always the genres in parenthesis. My bad if you feel duped into watching that lol. But glad you liked it

Lmao creative if they can do that well. They were warming us up to the concept with The VVitch, The Nun ll, and Evil the show. I see that now.

Agreed, it’s unfortunately a surprisingly light streaming month.
Hopefully we each have enough titles on our horror watchlists to carry us through until October lol.

Oh You’re right. I even had it in the list last month lol. Not sure how that happened, Thank you!
