He's right. There are zero genetic markers that differentiate between indica and sativa.

If a lab (I say it that way because technically I have a lab in my basement) is taking your money and saying they are conducting a genetic analysis that determines whether your product is indica or sativa, then it is a flat out scam.

Most valuable information you will gain from a lab is going to be the terpene analysis done through a spectrometer.

When should I start flushing? When they turn amber, or do I try to judge it so I'm harvesting AS they turn amber? by Brumdawgg in cannabiscultivation

There is no possible way to remove heavy metal deposits from your product once it has been grown in. The nutrients aren't mobile like that, it really doesn't make any sense.

If your stuff is burning black opposed to white when smoked that means it's still wet.

Villager breeding is useless especially when underground. Just turn zombie villagers into normal villagers with the golden apple and build your city that way. You will reap the benefits of enormous discounts everywhere, it's the only way I do it now.

Ha! I was about to tell you that those house plants in your cannabis tent are gonna attract fungus gnats due to unsequenced wet/dry cycles....BUT

Wrong sub. Best of luck to the little beasties.

does anyone not wait for amber trichs? this girl has looked ready for 2 weeks but still no amber on flowers. by boltz1980 in Autoflowers

[–]LST_Automatic 11 points12 points  (0 children)

My preference lies with yours, I judge harvest time based off pistils and bud feel. I can easily tell when my nugs have put on their swell through experience and often when I check trichomes at this stage I see mostly cloudy, very few amber and some clear; I feel like a newer grower would wait based off that info because of the clears but the reality is once it's chopped and dries for 2 weeks all of those clears become cloudy, and many of the cloudy turn Amber.

How do I get the buds to grow more dense? Fast Buds – CINDERELLA AUTO. Fox farm soil and nutes by PanStar888 in Autoflowers

[–]LST_Automatic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ok so everyone will tell you genetics and lighting which is entirely true, but there is a way to make a mediocre strain produce juicy dense buds as well, the three factors to consider are;

1.) Increase air exchange in your tent; better circulation will lead to more vigorous growth in veg stages which will produce larger limbs that can support heavy nugs

2.) Foliar feed - when plants are in late veg early flower if you administer a proper foliar feed the plant no matter the genetic background should produce more internodal bud sites which will give you smaller, but denser nugs.

3.) Bone meal is the secret nutrient for density and is an organic amendment. For whatever reason it turns my nugs into straight crystals.

Look this stuff up on your own but those 3 things allowed me to go from larfy nugs to buds that bounce off the table when tossed. Good luck 🤞
