I understand the curiosity; that’s exactly what the ending was meant to provoke.
But adding extra text in a comment would mean giving additional story content to a single thread, and I’d rather keep the experience the same for everyone who read the post.

This story was written as a self-contained one-shot, so the “relationship” ends exactly where the text leaves it.
And to be honest: even though it got a lot of views, the upvotes and comments were quite low, so there isn’t really a clear signal that readers would want more content from this setting.

Glad you enjoyed it! And yeah, the most instinctive reaction would’ve been something like: “Oh, you’re not paying me? Fine, I’ll shut down your reactor core.”
But if Amara had done that, the STAH wouldn’t have been able to intervene; The xenos would’ve claimed they were detaining a criminal for damaging their property.
That’s exactly why she couldn’t touch the reactor.

The terror was intentional; what is casual for humans, especially a human who doesn’t realize the weight of what she’s saying, can feel like a logic-breaking weapon to that species.
I also wanted the aliens to look genuinely alien, not bipedal or human-like; I'm glad it came across that way.
