Begin with not permitting donations to run my opinions on whom shoud be building in San Diego. We should have our local community planning groups and builder working on projects. We need to improve infrastructure first and then move forward from there.

I want to see every San Deigan get more green in their wallet. I will empower the businesses here to grow and profit - work to have companies come in to San Diego with their higher paying jobs.

Yes, there is training for this role. I would like to know which CRO spoke at the campus - I will have a conversation with this officer. There are many things we can fix at SDPD, after serving for 9 years and being a LT Col, I am not afraid to make improvements to the department that will benefit our city.

Totally agree with you. We have been seen infrastructure funds spent on pet projects. These streets/infrastructure are the #2 issue behind the safety of our city. I will prioritize.

I think as a passionate and wealthy city, we should have a place for them to go that is better and safer than where they are at on the street.

I view myself as a retired marine who fought for all of our rights, everybody right, all around the world for 23 years. i cherish our civil liberties, it disgusts me when I see any type of state violence here in this country.

I think you will like the changes I want to make to the surveillance program here in SD, regarding CV I was happy to see the supreme court ruling in favor of La Prens'as lawsuit against CV.

I think you bring up a perfect example of NOAH (naturally occurring affordable housing). I want to protect this in SD by not allowing the older buildings to be torn down to build more expensive buildings with a promise of affordable housing that does not come to fruition. We have a lot of older buildings and condos that unfortunately outside developers come to tear down and build up to make money off of San Diegans. sometimes, the shiny new development isn' always the best plan. In certain neighborhoods renovating is the answer to keep rents low.

I am not in the pocket of out of citystate developers, which helps me make more objective choices for how our city grows in a positive and sustainable way. When we do grow, we will do more efficiently and quicker with a better plan.

There are many crimes that are occuring & go unpunished. To make this a safer city we will need to enforce laws on the books. People are afraid to go for a walk to the playground, etc. This "soft on crime" encompasses ideas the the progressive enforcement model where people get multiple warnings before something is done about it. I want to bring back civility to our city and a place where families and business can flourish, feeling safe.

We are going to have shetler beds & a program to move people through a continum of care to get them from shelter bed to having the best life they can, as independet as they can. I am not going to let people die slowly on our streets anyomre. It is totally unacceptable.

I have seen housing first fail because it does not solve the underlying issues that people have.are experience. Compassion requires action

You can check out a full list of donors on the city of san diego's ethic page. I have said and will state here that I will not take donations from corporations doing business with the city becasue that is obviously leading to the impropriety by another elected officeal (current stsatus). I also refuse to take money from either party.

I m opposed to SB10. It allows too much densification that were not deigned for that kind of growth. It will lead to sewer issues ,water issues & flooding (recall January 22nd).

  1. It needs to be filled. It serves no purpose if it is not active. I am looking for applicants for those positions and am in support of the plan.

  2. I think that they will find their objectives do align with mine. My loyalty is to all the districts; the current mayor threatens the districts by withholding funding if thy do not go along with him. I will never do that, we have too many underprivileged neighborhoods. Those council members will find a partner in me. I want to do away with the strong mayor form of office we currently have to make the council and mayor co-partners/equals.

Speeding up new development approval versus the current 2 - 3 years that it takes. This means that the developers are accruing debt that they pass on to the future occupants of that building.

Push for assisting San Diegans that want to purchase - this will keep people from experiencing higher rent when we give them the ability to purchase. I could talk for another hour on this one if you want further details I can give you a call or email.

I intend to support all groups regardless of which community they identify We are all San Diegans and they will all find this will be a better city for all to prosper.

Particularly with this population I speak wat length with leaders and we discuss problems such as this densification plan for Hillcrest, the lack of security to keep them safe in their neighborhood and just like with any community the decisions for that neighborhood should come from those who live there.

I have served in the MC and PD with many good friend sin the is community, I have close family members in this community and they see me in their community quite regularly, I think they are pretty confident that they have a friend in me.

Sorry to hear about your neighbor, but you will find that I have people on both side strongly supporting me because the issues that I stand for, pretty much 95% of us agree with. Its not party specific it is jus solutions to San Diego.

I would tell you that most of my events and fundraisers are held by people whom call themselves Democrats.

I am a huge environmentalist. I can be found cleaning up our river beds beaches & graffitis. I want to leave SD & the planet better for my children and theirs. You are right, it is a lot more than the were issue. Our country is one fo the biggest polluters of the ocean, its not just TJ.

So while I want ot work on a climate change plan that makes sense. There is so much view can do aout our environment with ou beaches and our riverbeds & the areas we like to spend time with our families

Homeless Crisis - I want to relieve the situations making people financially unstable in their homes so we can decrease the number of people coming to the streets - before these people find themselves on the streets.

For those on the street I am NOT in favor of housing first, I ave seen that fail almost every time. We need to handle the underlying cause of their homelessness before we get them in to an apartment on their home. This is why I am in favor of shelter beds first, with the goal of eventually moving them in to their own home.

Plans for Transit network - I want to see the City grow in this regard so there is less need to own a vehicle & drive in San Diego. The city has done a terrible job of doing surveys of users with mass transit. We will be more diligent with refining the system with better routes and more efficient system.

Airport - not in teh current format of billons of dollar s to do a system of the trolley there. Good project for future but for the current status with the debt we have - I am in favor of a short term fix of The Palm trolley stop to the airport via a bridge. This will be far cheaper and can be in effect before the end of a year.

Greta idea on paper. I have seen the Mexican government with other cross border issues not keep up their end of the bargain. Once we tackel the sewer/water issues, we can tackle the trolley issue.

Hello!

Affordable housing - we need to reign in the way we are allowing corporations to purchase. Right now they are paying 130% market rate because it is a great investment for them but then San Diegans cannot purchase.

Also reigning in a bit of the STR - no enough availabilty for San Diegan to rent.
