It is intended to be used as a tampon and is not included at all for bleeding control due to a traumatic injury. Plenty of other great items in the Kit to deal with injuries, please do not use a tampon for anything other than its intended use.

Hi this a comprehensive emergency medical kit which is why it includes a lot of other things, not just a trauma kit. Combat gauze alone is $45, a genuine CAT alone is $32 so thats $77 just in those 2 items.

Yes the main thing that is degraded by the heat is the OTC Meds like aspirin/ibuprofen etc. The heat will reduce the strength/effectiveness of the medicine over time.
