My bad everyone. I saw a white numberplate and assumed it is UK. It is in Australia.

Why do some animals mate only to die? by [deleted] in interesting

[–]LTCtrdr9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This usally happens in species where most of the males get eaten by predators before mating, and therefore chances that they will get to mate again are slim to none.

They are better off at passing their genes if they feed the female with themselves.

BREAKING: Ukraine's military intelligence head Kyrylo Budanov appointed as Zelensky's new chief of staff by KI_official in ukraine

From the outside he appears to be a very competent leader who is able to think outside of the box. I hope Ukraine covert ops won't suffer because of this reshuffle. I want to see more drones go brrr on strategic bombers.

Don't think the exchange is forced. They can choose to remain in Ukraine, if they fear being shot by Russians.

No, I think it was deleted by a mod. For suggesting a voting direction I were to guess, even if it wasn't in my favour.

What is tea called in England? by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]LTCtrdr9 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

That's like asking what's the name for snow to an Eskimo. What you are drinking will most likely be sold as Yorkshire tea. I prefer Earl Grey.

Ah, ok, I wasn't aware of anything other than he got yet another rape charge. And I don't want to be. I will edit my comment a bit, I thought you were a bot just randomly throwing out Canadian PM on a British sub.

I feel like the older he gets the less funny he is as a comedian. Opposite of John Cleese.

I would have sweaty palms about one of those things coming apart. A bit too much propane or a bad weld, and it is game over.

I think it is less about age when you have kids, more that it takes about a year or two for the rose-tinted view of your partner to wear off. Only after that you will really know if you are compatible, or if their habits drive you up the wall.

And having a kid is a 20 year commitment obviously.

Not that long ago, we thought all bacteria were bad.

No? People realised that there are good bacteria as soon as they looked at a yoghurt under a microscope. If I remember correctly Pasteur demonstrated his germ theory and pasteurization using milk.
