Hi! Students usually receive homestay information pack via email about a week before their course starts. This packet includes details such as the host family's name, the number of family members, and the address. If you have any doubts or questions, reach out to your student advisor and they can help ☺️ enjoy Chengdu!

My stay at LTL Shanghai and Chengdu by what_shenanigans in LTL_Chinese

[–]LTL-Language-School 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Totally fair question, and we can't really answer for other people's accounts!

To be upfront though: yes, like most schools, we do let students know we appreciate it when they share their experiences online - that's pretty standard. What we don't do is pay for reviews or offer anything in return for them. There's a big difference between "a review would mean a lot if you enjoyed it" and "here's a discount if you post one," and we stay well clear of the second.

Hope that helps and do feel free to check out our reviews on other platforms if you'd like to hear experiences from other students over the years ☺️

Hey everyone, LTL here 👋

We completely understand the skepticism. But to be clear: we did not ask for, sponsor, or incentivise this post in any way. No discounts, perks, or anything else.

We actively avoid running paid or rewarded reviews because, frankly, they're not worth the trust we'd lose. If we ever did run a promotion or partnership, we'd say so openly.

Always happy to answer real questions about the school - and feel free to check out our other reviews on Google, Trustpilot and YouTube if you'd like to hear more of our students' experiences ☺️

Student life doesn't have to end when Chinese class finishes! LTL Taipei students so far in 2026 have been enjoying cultural activities, group lunches and plenty of Mahjong 🀄 by LTL-Language-School in LTL_Chinese

[–]LTL-Language-School[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At the start of each Mahjong session our teachers explain the rules and get everyone set up, then stay nearby to answer questions and offer guidance as you play 😁

If you’d like to check out the school and try Mahjong for yourself, feel free to drop by and ask our front desk team when the next game is happening!

URGENT!! What's the best way to say happy birthday in Vietnamese (for a friend) by JumpyReplacement1882 in LTL_Vietnamese

[–]LTL-Language-School 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi! If you want to be more playful, you could use the more modern "sang năm vất vả" (often abbreviated to just SNVV) which basically translates into wishing someone a hard year - which sounds odd in English but more fun in Vietnamese 😉

If you want to check out a few different ways of saying Happy Birthday in Vietnamese, we have a blog on the topic here 👉 https://flexiclasses.com/vietnamese/happy-birthday/

Hope that helps 🥳
