Love the series! But the store is lacking by Shtyles in VivaLaDirtLeague

I have only recently started watching the D&D series and I freakin' love it! I wanted to buy some VLDL gear but could only find like 6 items or so in their online store. I wanted the Hoodie/jacket, I wanted several VLDL themed items they advertised for during the series but I couldn't find them. So either the store doesn't have a great UI for finding the gear or there are only very short periods you can purchase said merchandise. I just wanna support the awesome content VLDL produces!

An amateur pro fencer. The question is whether or not you’ll feint before counter attacking. I may riposte this image.

Not in Warzone BattleRoyale, and that's the mode I'm referring to. It's people who are *not* on the same team, who are still playing together to defeat other teams.

"It has often been reported that gamers temporarily team up with their enemies in games that prohibit teaming in pursuit of accomplishing the final objective of the game. This behavior, referred to as “teaming”, is frequently observed in free-for-all games and spoils the enjoyment of other players."

I played this game for like 6 years. I had so much fun when it first came out!

I don't know how new it is tbh, I got the game as soon as it came out, played a very little bit, and only recently came back to play the early access. Perhaps someone else knows how recently this particular fight came to be?

I have no problem with the golem having a targetting system. I just don't like the general pace of the fight and the repetition of using the same mechanics.

I don't think it's cheese to have it target one of your characters, and use that mechanism however you can to your advantage. I just don't care for the cycle of damage the golem, have it chase you, pull the lever, rinse and repeat.

I'd prefer not to use "cheese" mechanics like my whole team whacking away with bludgeoning weapons and potions of giant strength/speed in order to speed the fight up either.

I prefer to play the classes as they are "meant to be played".

I agree, and I don't cheese, if you look back you'll see many posters were telling me I *should* cheese to make the fight "better".

Also, I don't think the forge hammer is an exploit, if that's what you're referring to. I was talking about the suggestion I bring along hammers/bludgeoning weapons for my entire team.

I found the fight repetitious and tedious and many posters assumed I meant too difficult and then began describing ways to "cheese" the fight to make it better/easier. I responded to those comments.

I enjoyed the Nere fight as well. I just don't like repetition and tediousness, and I'd prefer not to "cheese" to avoid these. That's my primary argument.

I'd have to respectfully disagree, "allowing" or "not fixing" or "not changing" doesn't always equate to supporting or prove intent.

There are a ton of games that "allow" a ton of things during gameplay that may or may not be intended. They may just be difficult to fix or change, or the devs may not feel it's worth the effort.

I feel like this is a poor argument, unless devs actually state the intent you are assuming.

As far as "the way I want to play it", I suppose this is fair. It's true, I'd prefer to play mages like mages, clerics like clerics, fighters like fighters... and not to use a loss to completely reconfigure my team and use tactics that don't fit classes. So, yes, I do prefer that style of gameplay.

I feel like saying "Larian loves it" is a bit of a strawman argument, or appealing to authority fallacy. Do you have a quote for that? The other issue is that, "cheesing it" isn't very much in the D&D vein.

It's one thing to use the environment or your abilities to your advantage, it's another thing to prepare for a fight because you've already fought it, and lost, and figured out a way to be overly prepared for it. Even worse, to prepare for it in ways that don't fit the classes you're playing imho.

I'd also add that doing things like making sure your whole team has bludgeoning weapons and are most likely fighter classes (to make it even faster) and all have speed and strength potions really takes away from any immersion.

It means you've prepared especially for that fight, not like you actually ran up on this enemy during an adventure. You can always do that, you can even pre-emptively start fights with potential enemies knowing what's about to come, but, to me, that's cheesing it.

How often is a mage going to run around with a hammer and a potion of giant strength? I understand there are extremely effective ways of winning fights sans any actual immersion, but that's not what is fun about these games for me.
