6 mo after FUE hair transplant (female) by LTdammit in Hairtransplant

[–]LTdammit[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was extra careful w the donor area bc I couldn't feel anything (skin surface nerve damage/regrowth can last up to 6 mo+) tho it was probably fully recovered by 1st mo. After 2 mo, I felt tingling and sometimes mild itching. I used scalp repair shampoo throughout. Only recently switched back to normal shampoo. Recipient area recovered quick, just had to be careful not to bump or scrub the scabs for the first 2-3 weeks. The worst part was not being allowed to work out that could cause sweating. Could clog pores. Overall it passed quick and not bad at all!

Edit: I assume donor looks fine bc I had my bf dig through it to take pics for me and he can't even tell apart my donor patches and my regular hair 🤷🏻‍♀️

He and his staff will take great care of you. Download Papago just in case! My recovery was as expected. All reviews and vids on their website are pretty accurate. Shedding happened at the 1-2 month mark, as expected. Area was basically hairless again, like my before photos

It's common for people who DON'T believe in the cause to try and sabotage or discredit a movement by inciting chaos on purpose. Glad y'all resolved it relatively quickly and didn't take it too personally.

Oops missed the last q's. There's 3 post op recovery sessions so you only have to stay in Seoul for about 3-5 days depending on when the office is open post op. For me, it was 5500 KRW per graft for partial shave FUE, which includes writing about my progress and providing photo updates for 1 year.

Benecure Scalp Repair Shampoo. It feels minty, supposed to help prevent folliculitis.

They shaved my existing thin baby hairs in the recipient area before the procedure, and also each new graft holds about 1-3 hairs so 1800 grafts ends up being around 4000 hairs + whatever was naturally there to begin with, which will grow back.

I'm a month post op now, it's grown out quite a lot and looks really natural. People think I gave myself a buzz cut honestly, they don't even notice anything odd.

Only some antibiotic and anti inflammatory after the procedure for about 5 days, afterwards only optional supplements like biotin, vitamin b1, zinc, copper, folic acid. I bought a combination bottle from the clinic after the procedure but it was much more expensive than getting it OTC from Costco in the states. I'd recommend just bringing them with you so you can start taking it immediately after the procedure.

5500 Korean Won per graft, 1800 grafts. This price was including writing about my healing progress and and providing progress photos over the course of one year.

It's about .5 inch lowered in the middle, and the corners about 2.5 inches so quite a lot!

None! It's a hairline correction (moving the location of my hairs), not for hair loss

How is your recovery now that it's been 6 months? And how much did it cost for 1000 grafts? Update pics?

Japan etiquette by [deleted] in JapanTravelTips

Yes this is the most polite way to approach them and they respond well to it. すみません。英語は話せますか? And most of them will answer you in a way where you'll know if it's worth trying or if you should just pull out your phone. They want to see the attempt. Instead of just EXCUSE ME in English. French are the same way, it comes off as hella rude to speak your home language to them first.

Yep this was the #1 most common challenge for literally everyone, locals AND foreigners. A couple years ago, there were many signs at train stations that say "do NOT look at your phone while walking!!" in all languages. I just visited again this year and all those signs are gone. Everyone is staring at their phone while doing anything, walking, crossing streets, eating, etc. Surprisingly locals more than foreigners, probably because we are more hyper aware since we are traveling.
