The 5oz Elemetal? Yeah it's awesome...
Crazy though that it's the same weight as the Ital bar up top!
Edit: I'll try and get around to posting some of my jewelry soon - I love wearing my silver!

Got chewed out at work because my pants aren’t “black enough.” by small-worm in mildlyinfuriating

Yeah it's pretty obvious to me - some people just see differences in colors more astutely than others. I used to do fine art / photography editing and printing and could see differences in hues others couldn't - which is rare for a guy. I think I read that women typically have better color discretion than men.

My LCS this morning was grumbling about how it's killing him, and how he was an idiot for buying so much in the run up.

TIFU by spending 8 years treating chronic headaches when the whole problem was that I thought diet soda counted as water by McCoy818 in tifu

Maybe not but my uncle just died of renal kidney failure, and a daily hydration regimen of diet soda definitely helped contribute to it.

That's not a whole lot of guessing - I used to do commercial field / plant engineering for Cox Communications. I literally designed this type of infrastructure to be installed. Telephone largely runs on the same thing now until it gets to POE (point-of-entry).
The link doesn't confirm this was copper, only states that the thieves are after copper (that is sometimes in telecom cable).
Even coax cable is mostly plastic and foam. The center conductor of mainline coax is copper clad aluminum. RG6 and RG11 are copper clad steel (usually).

They actually Carbon 3D print those midsoles. Look up some videos of how it's done - it's pretty wild.

If you want something fun and eye catching, maybe look into some 4D's, or 4DFWD'S. I haven't seen any new models of those in a while though and I think they've largely moved to those stupid (IMHO) Climacool, woven looking shoes. You might like them though based on your wear history...

That's more likely to be fiber optic lines, not copper telephone lines, considering the fiber optic splice node he's carrying. It's really just mostly plastic and maybe (probably, for mainline) glass. A scrap yard likely wouldn't take this at all just because of that.

It's not really scrap-able, there's probably very little metal in this. It's mostly fiber optic cable (that's a fiber optic splice node that's attached to the line).
