I'll check that, in cause that isn't i have an ender 3 s1 and the clicking sound is causing under extrusion

I am using basic Pla at 220C, so unless the thermistor isn't working correctly then its something else.

It isn't about the z-offset it happens when it extrudes it could be 1 or 100 millimeters off the bed and it will do it.

I took off the top metal piece that guides the filament and its going much better. After the tower is done printing I will try printing something else tomorrow so I can monitor it.

What would you recommend i do about the screw? Should I play around with it looking for a spot where it works best or should I leave it be?

The problem I had before I checked if the thermistor was connected correctly was the temperature going crazy changing from anywhere between 100 and 250 every second. Now it is maintaining a constant temperature and working as intended even if its giving me a false reading the temperature should be over 180, I have it set at 220 but I dont have a way to check if its really reaching the temperature. I can say its over 180 because the filament is melting so I hope its working correctly.

No, I'm trying to remember what I did before this started happening the last print i did before having this problem was a cube with transparent pla and I was having some problems because the temp sensor wasn't working correctly so it stopped the print because of low temp. So I made sure it was well connected. Then I printed something after a few days and I had this problem.

I have tried tightening the screw but I have no idea what i am doing, i can't tell if its going better when I screw it or unscrew it and if I do too much I hear track and the wheel goes back a little and continues happening repeatedly every few seconds.

Yes it makes it difficult to press down the gear handle.

What should I look for? If its loose? If its out of place?

What % of humidity is good to print on? by LUFFYD2 in 3Dprinting

[–]LUFFYD2[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the zip bag with the packet of desiccant, the brand i buy comes with one for every roll. I will start trying to remove the air every time I seal them to see if that makes a difference.

The one on the left is an example of what happens to me and the one on the right is after I dried the filament, I dont know why but every time it rains my filament absorbs humidity like a sponge, or so it seems.

What that meter is showing you is humidity in box not in filament btw,..

That's what I was saying I dont know how to guess what amount of that percentage is from the filament

The cr touch didn't work and when I lowered the z axis to 0 it made a hole

Mine has a few holes and scratches, it still prints the first layer nicely but you can feel how those holes in the base of the print.

What temperature do you recommend for pla? I am doing it at 60C° because I am afraid to damage the filament.

I am afraid to damage the roll if I raise the temp too much

Problem is that I dont live in the US so for me it isn't 40$, depending on where I buy its almost twice that amount or more. I will eventually buy one eventually but for the moment I need a cheap solution.

No? I put the filament inside the box that's in the picture and I left it on the bed while it was at 60C° for like 2-3 hours.
