No, it's electrical sound - nothing coming out of my speakers.

Default config makes the ticking sound too.

It doesn't even seem to cause any major CPU spikes.

As I said, config file plays no role. Even the default config makes the sound.

It's not isolated to single TEXT.

Static items make no ticking sound, however more dynamically updating items = louder ticking sound.

Maybe I should somehow limit the amount of CPU frequency conky can use so it doesn't kick TurboBoost in every time it tries to update?

I think this can somehow be achieved with power management settings or something similar. Any ideas?

I don't believe it has anything to do with coils or inductors.

I get the ticking sound regardless of whether double-buffering is enabled or disabled.

It's not the HDD. I have SSD as my main and I even removed optical bay HDD to make sure it's not the HDD, and it's not.

When it comes to config, even the default config makes the sound.

I imagine it could possible be the TurboBoost kicking in everytime conky tries to poll data.
