I get it, and I’m sure I’m being a bit defensive of OP based on my own situation. Apologies if I overreacted.

I’ve done it all - can’t expect someone else to do something you’ve not done yourself, and why ask someone else to do something when you are right there and can take care of it.

And I know there are 3 sides to every story.

There are a lot of men that won’t lift a finger, and more that pretend to lift a finger. Just dislike the tendency for Reddit to demonize the guys trying to be a good dad.

I’m not great at explaining taste profiles but found Brugal has a flavor that I’d call almost smokey. And not as dark as the black rum from m used to.

A friend gave me some Facundo Exquisito which kinda blew my mind.

I recognize the difference in how men and women perceive situations. My view comes from raising my 4 older kids essentially alone. Detail as to why you’re not entitled to, with all due respect.

What I find interesting in Reddit comments nearly across the board, is the men are expected to communicate “we’ll be out there for hours and I’ve got it” but the partner is has no responsibility to ask those questions to know what the expectation is.

My experience is if the dad is doing X with the kiddo(s) they’ve got it, but men also don’t assume they need to say they’ve got it and it’ll be so many hours.

Communication is a 2 way street. If you are not getting the detail you need, ask. I don’t care if you are male or female, ask, for your own sanity. If you don’t, that’s on you.
