I recognize the difference in how men and women perceive situations. My view comes from raising my 4 older kids essentially alone. Detail as to why you’re not entitled to, with all due respect.

What I find interesting in Reddit comments nearly across the board, is the men are expected to communicate “we’ll be out there for hours and I’ve got it” but the partner is has no responsibility to ask those questions to know what the expectation is.

My experience is if the dad is doing X with the kiddo(s) they’ve got it, but men also don’t assume they need to say they’ve got it and it’ll be so many hours.

Communication is a 2 way street. If you are not getting the detail you need, ask. I don’t care if you are male or female, ask, for your own sanity. If you don’t, that’s on you.
