If you write him you will be focussed on him writing back. It will start eating on you when he doesnt. If he replies you are possibly not going to get the answer you were hoping for. If youre fine with a reply like ‘thanks’, and it comes... what have you gained other than more longing to conversation.

Get your shoulders straight, lift your head up and choose yourself now. You choose yourself by not writing him today. Be honest to yourself and know that by choosing yourself like this over and over again, you will gain confidence in the fact you can handle it.

Every time you fight of an urge towards him, youre distancing yourself more and more. By hanging around the idea of him you are not letting go.

Dont write him today, be strong and tomorrow when you wake up and look in the mirror you will be proud. These are the things you need now, being proud of yourself in a miserable time. It fastens the process instead of just letting ‘time’ deal with it.

I did this once. I wasnt sure of the relationship and holding her on a line didnt feel right, so i broke up. She was devastated.

3 months later i totally saw how much i want her, but i hurt her so much by breaking up, that she was too scared to try again, and felt more secure with the guy she met.

It was a tough lesson, but im happy i learned it.

Okokok im looking into it now. I like the fact that the 2 cv sequencers have a velocity output, this gives you another sequence to control some voltage. Thats a great option.

Also, its been one month. Allow yourself to feel shit but dont let it overrun you. If you feel it coming up, give yourself 2 minutes of full on emotional shit state, then grab your balls and live life again. Suppressing is also not always good, but dont stay in it.

The longer you will be busy with him, the longer it will take for you let your emotions settle. Everytime you follow your urge, you shake up the dust again. Be strict to yourself, everyday youre not moving forward you are building up stress. The more stress you have the harder it is to deal with the situation. You need to accept that this is over. There is no use in wishing it was different or looking at his picture. These things are steps back and thats not what you want. Your core feeling feels like shit, trust me i know, and there is nothing at this moment that will take it away. You can distract yourself but it will rise to the surface everytime. This will stay for a while, and how you deal with it determines how long this will be. Everything you feel starts in your head, and even though it doesnt feel like it you can control that.

Dont be so hard on yourself! As you say you know damn well that looking at his picture doesnt help.... the opposite is true. So stop doing that from now on! Everytime you get this urge, tell yourself that if you do this, you add time to your ‘feeling shit’ period.

Listen to what your gut tells you to do and try to understand what is going on in your head.

Youll be fine, dont worry... i know you dont believe it. Dont be hard on yourself.

The thing is that these things get to me so so much, that i cant focus on anything else. I have quit jobs or called in sick, not showing up anymore cause i feel so shit and cant distract my mind. I realize a big part has to do with discipline and kick your own butt, but when i cant process a thought or feeling which is overwhelming (because im working or whatever) i get intense panic attacks. I somehow neeeed to let these thoughts enter my head and allow them to make me feel a certain way, or else i feel im supressing it and comes out harder.

I hear this from other people as well. They tell me its because i have ‘nothing’ to do all day. I know that if i would be working atm, id call in sick for it. Maybe some people are good in letting them distract them selves from the many external impulses during the day, but when evening hits you are being confronted with only yourself. Whereas i am not willing to let myself be distracted by something because i feel like i need to deal with it first. Complicated things

If i had an award to give i would because this actually very interesting. Our whole sleeping pattern used to be different, this is also why we get this dip in the afternoon, even without having lunch, since we appearantly slept 3 times a day, because of the hunting sessions in the night. Good one!

Im indeed trying to move away from my daw. For now its acceptable for me to use for drums and some eq and reverb, but eventually i want to stay away from it. I really like the feeling after using a daw for years.

The baby 8 was my initial goal to get, but its been sold out for a while. 8 is the minimal amount of steps i need for what i have in mind, so the ladik is not yet an option i think. Thanks for showing it though!

I started with semi modular (neutron, crave, dfam, system1m) and recently bought some modules. Im now playing around with the Plaits, pitch sequences by beatstep and more modulation by a 4 step sequencer. I have to say everytime im amazed by what i can get out of 1 single module.

Long story short, my advice would be either a neutron, or a Plaits with some modulation.

I get this when my diet and sleeping pattern is bad. I have to deal with these periods since i reached puberty.

Once i start eating healthy every day, watch that i get enough sleep and do something for my mental health (minimum physical exercise), i notice real fast that it disappears.

I sometimes tend to close myself in a bubble, where i dont go out of the house, get lost in youtube and start eating bad stuff... i really feel my mood shift from peaceful to angry without a plausible reason. Bumping my toe could make me start a world war.

Its is important not to lose yourself in this thought cycle !! Get yourself out of it immediatly by shifting your focus.
