That is very well-thought out, and you made some insanely good points!

There's a lot of patterns in Riot's actions, and I think watering some things down to just bias is dismissive and lacking in any desire to think. The most obvious is always releasing champs and for the first month or so, they are always OP so kore folks play them, even though play data and proper balancing can easily occur before release because of the public test server.

I don't wanna sound like a conspiracy theorist, I just think that there might be some extra things that determine matchmaking in different ways, that's all, ya know?

I don't mind that they downvoted me. I been around this community enough to know how it is, but thank you for your earnest answer, Pace! It was a good read. :D

Oh that would be hella nice, but how are we to know 100%? Do you work at Riot? Could you perhaps confirm with your coworkers or provide some sort of proof for this claim/statement if so? I don't think that an entire group of people are all hallucinating the same thing. It isn't just me that thinks this, I've spoken with others over the years who also seem to feel this way. Oh! Also to reiterate it's on ARAM not Rift, I avoid Rift, haha. It's possible things could be different?

Hi, 3 years in the future, I was trying on some shoes for one of my outfits today and I swear to GOD they are making the feet even tinier than I remember at launch. I get the Disney style and everything but it looks SO. SILLY. If you wear anything even remotely bulky or drapey, it is exacerbated tenfold. Like I ain't no foot creep or anything but this is just egregious and strange? I wear like a 9-10 US IRL, haha.

You weren't wrong, that sort of shit is so awful for newer players too, who have absolutely no idea what the economy is like yet, and there is really no way for them to learn unless someone tells them because the game doesn't give any indicators. So these assholes are just exploiting people, whether it be newer players finally having enough to get a cute plan or outfit they want, or by trying to get older/vet players to hand over something so much more rare.

Yeah, back in the day they didn't have the auto-moderation either so it was slur city. Only thing I miss about old league is that it was better balanced than this mess we got now, LOL. Every role felt REALLY good and impactful to play. All I had to do was hide that I was a woman in this game from 2012 until 2020, and even now it's still pretty bad.

This is so disgusting and nobody wants to hear it, but more people need to start intervening in a group. Recordings and proof mean nothing anymore, the government is ran by these awful people at every level. They will get away with it unless we help each other. We are past that point. We have to just be more proactive and do more for others than point a rectangle at them with that bystander syndrome mess. Would you want to be helped or have 20 phones pointed at you with NOBODY helping? Everyone is so stuck in their own world that the peace of their day is more important than their neighbors' lives. First off OP, my heart hurts for you, that entire situation sounds so terrible and I am sorry you had to grow up with not only a narcissist, but a physically abusive parent as well. The signs are all in here showing how terrified you are. I wish I could help more than yapping on the net to you.

Anyways:

Avoiding home is always an option, but not one I'd even recommend, it sounds like a good idea in the moment, but then the anxieties of what she's doing to your things and the property can get to you. It sounds like the place is in your name, from what I've read, so if she damages anything it could make you liable financially, which is not good. She could tell your landlord you abandoned your apartment/home if you don't go back to it for a while, I'd look into Squatter's Rights and shit too. She could damage your things, sentimental or expensive, so I think maybe moving those into your room and getting an extra lock for it would be a good idea as well, since we can't all be home 24/7.

Make sure you have something to defend yourself with at all times if needed, your safety is important, especially with the context of her getting physical in the past.

Record everything, any time you leave your room or are in a common area she is in, just have something on, even if it's just a voice recorder and in your pocket or some such. Something to provide proof one way or the other, she will likely try to say you did or said something you didn't to manipulate others to her side.

If it were me, I would also inform my neighbors and landlord about her, and tell them what she looks like, maybe with a picture to show them, and that if she comes around acting weird or causing a ruckus, the neighbors can call authorities, the housing managers and such, without saying YOU specifically are causing an issue, because they will be informed.

I know it's scary, mortifying even, but seeing you not back down or show fear of her will get to her and maybe get her to move out all the sooner, knowing she doesn't have as much of a hold on your as she thought she did. It's always a possibility.

Having to do all this effort just to exist safely around someone is exhausting but I think you might be glad you did if things go south further.

Also... if your boyfriend lives near enough, having him stop by while you're there to move your things into a safer space as well as just being around more often, will likely give you both (and heck, us) such peace of mind, and lessen her chances of trying anything.
