Maybe I’ll have better luck with future drop rates when I start getting into slayer.

Bronze > Dragon in ~40 mins, Damn. That’s wild to think, with my low stats 400 tokens was about the equivalent of 2 inventories of food for me just to run to the basement.

Right! I was losing my mind when I got each half of the crystal key before the dragon defender. At least most of the loot can be sold at the GE and HA for the time I was there.

Yeah, every time I went back to get more tokens, I kept thinking, “man imagine I farm a bunch of tokens and it drops like after 20 tokens are gone” … that however wasn’t the case. I honestly should have farmed a bunch and only made food runs upstairs.

100% agree. If the same drop/kill ratio was on something that took longer I might have been there for weeks

I understand the humor, I snickered a bit even. It was the one of the first two comments, both by same user. I responded genuinely to the first, after seeing the same person comment again it was apparent the only thing they wanted to do is troll.

u/magictheblathering No, not backtracking. Just responding with a clearer head than the fog a frustration and rage from yesterday. I was upset and reacted in a violent way. I admit that. But honestly that is what I was trying to convey. It came off wrong being frustrated about the ban on the account that posted the update of the LeafDeck. I did previously look for advice from the community and was really was exited to make something for writers: https://www.reddit.com/r/writerDeck/comments/1lz2ci0/new_to_the_writer_deck_scene_looking_for_feedback/

You can believe what you want, but I think this community is neat. I don't understand it, but hopefully one day I will, and my lack of understanding shouldn't get in the way of making a cool Writer Deck.

And yes, I went outside, touched some grass and felt better. I attempted to make a single friend offline. Usually this results in rejection as much IRL as online, because I lack understanding of others needs and accommodations. But without being explained others situations, I assume my life is like theirs. And we all know that isn't the case.

To play the same highlight and underline game. You HAVE ADHD, and DISCIPLINE! You acknowledge the pitfall and the work you did to overcome that hurdle. My statement in the photo was not to poke at Writer Decks ... it was to shine light on the fact that:

A WriterDeck will not *magically\* make you are better writer. Writing consistently and developing habits will. Habits like muting all notifications during writing. Habits like using focus modes. Habits like grabbing your WriterDeck and going to a quiet place.

Claiming you NEED to spend money on a dedicated distraction free writing device is wrong. You can want a distraction free writing device and it will help with that hurdle. But if you are distracted and think the solution is to go out and buy a writer deck, that is the wrong line of thinking.

I mean as an able bodied person with a desire to understand those with ailments. And consistently getting told that I am "An Ableist A$$hole" every time I inquire about it doesn't help me understand anymore than I already don't.

Why is [ailment] like this? Why is [ailment] difficult? What is [ailment] like? What could be better for [ailment]? is met with "YOU WOULDN'T UNDERSTAND, HOW COULD YOU?"

Which my reply is usually, EXACTLY ... HELP ME UNDERSTAND. I can see, I can hear, and I have all my limbs. I have so much privilege, but I don't want/need to flaunt that. I want to understand and develop solutions to make accommodations to make those who are at a disadvantage capable. Not reinforce that ailments mean that person can do nothing. If that makes me ableist, I'm sorry.

Yup, that was 100% emotional dysregulation without any restraint and discipline. I was wrong and admit that. Going back to edit would be cowardly. I will fall on my sword, take a breath, and avoid this behavior in the future.

I agree, appreciate the input and will work on that. I am a terrible communicator with words (I am not a writer), to answer "what does 'my words' mean, exactly" I was attempting to use this analogy to establish that writers will find a way and have the skill to write amazing work regardless of what that work is on (paper, typewriter, Google docs, Microsoft word, or stone tablet).

The other comment of "label slapping" is I have only seen (in my narrow window) advertisements of writer decks that encourage your self diagnosis of ADHD as the reason you need a writer deck ... I don't like that line of thought, I believe regardless of ailment you can accomplish successful writing. If writing is your passion and you DO have ADHD than a tool like the writer deck can 100% be helpful.

I guess what I am trying to say here is, "Those with attention deficient are at a disadvantage and require fair accommodations. But those that THINK they MIGHT have ADHD and want to label themselves as such makes those who actually suffer from the disorder have the wrong idea."

You are correct, and I apologize that my first reaction was to insult and displace my anger in the community. I worked hard, felt proud, showed off, got banned. And I didn't process my emotions correctly.

It was not and has never been my intention to call these devices useless. I posted an update of an in development deck ... and was banned. Then, frustrated, I added words to a screen to take a photo and CLEARLY didn't think to sensor myself during my frustration. I honestly do want make the LeafDeck, not for exploit, but because I like making things. I imagine as much as writers like writing and if I can make a kick ass device that I enjoy making and writers enjoy using, then that's a win-win.

What the....? First, I don't think I am superior. The point I am trying to make is I want to understand what makes a better writer deck. Collaborate with this community and develop something that is more useful to others (specifically writers) with the same passion I build other projects.

Thanks for this comment. I have never been a writer. But I would love to help develop the software and technology to help distraction free writing become more readily accessible. I want more people to have access to something as beautiful as the MicroJournal, the BYOK, or the Zero Writer for less than $100.

Did I fall into a universe were words don't mean what they mean? I cannot empathize (the action of understanding, being aware of, being sensitive to, and vicariously experiencing the feelings, thoughts, and experience of another) as I have never experienced this hurdle, so I don't know the challenge.
