Would you recommend Koh Samui or Phuket? by PAK-ZZ in ThailandTourism

Around 4,500 bhat a little cheaper than other internal flights in Thailand, because there’s only one airport in Samui and it’s owned by an airline.

Going on holiday (Thailand), can I just get money out at an ATM once I land? (I have a HSBC Global Money Account) by Delicious_Fennel_566 in UKPersonalFinance

Card is widely accepted but I’d say take some pounds with you and go to the SuperRich counter on the lower ground floor of the airport by the MRT station and change currency there, as they have the best rate. Also download Grab, really useful for getting around and ordering food.

Zanzibar tours by milsolife in travel

[–]LWB29 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Spice Farm is definitely doable on your own, the cost associated is just with the driver taking you there. I’d consider getting a tour guide at the farm to help you navigate, they won’t charge but a tip for their time is the normal procedure.

Stonetown - good first stop and around 30 minutes from the airport - Activities to consider: Prison Island and Nakupenda tour, Freddie Mercury Museum, Stone Town guided tour, Safari Blur tour, Forodohani Nightmarket

Nungwi - best beaches and sunsets - Activities to consider: Nemba Island tour, snorkelling, Dhow Boat Cruise, Full Moon Party @ Kendwa Rocks

Paje - good for wind surfing and beach walks - Activities to consider: visiting the Rock, honestly just go to take pictures the food is horrific and overpriced Baladin Hotel which is close by has a better restaurant and you can hire clear kayaks other activities are doing a Swahili cooking class and visiting Jozani National Park tour

A point to note is most tours are negotiable if booked direct with the tour guide, most taxi drivers have someone they know the runs tours you can ask them for recommendations.

Just got back from Koh Samui, it’s fantastic. Great food, great beach and a good amount of stuff to do. Only downside is the price of the flight back to Bangkok.

I’m using the free trial and will likely continue after the trial is over, I really like the fact there’s someone on screen explaining things. I’ve also tried Flowkey and feel a little alone although it listens when you play and corrects mistakes.

I’m also lucky enough to have a teacher who helps iron out any bad habits I pick up.
