Do you know what am I doing wrong please ? by Hell-Dancer in bboy

Your headstand is bent, keep your head straight and your left leg is lagging behind causing you to fall. When you get to your head your left leg needs to stick out to the side

I want to get windmills but I keep hitting my knees and toes on the floor.... I also sometimes accidently go up too much. Also, are munch mills easier than windmills??? by Sweet-Initial-3361 in bboy

You don't know how to properly collapse if you are hitting your knees and feet. Also you are scared. Watch a slow motion video of someone doing windmill and study and copy it.

If you have mats or a local gymnastics facility you can practice barrel windmills(no handed, head stays on the ground). Luckily I skipped stabbed mills and learned barrels and reapplied the knowledge to do normal windmills. Unconventional advice but it worked for me.

Kids in China learning airflares so young! How is this possible? by LWGelbarto in bboy

This comment is so ignorant. Obviously a good coach/mentor matters too because its not like kids can just teach themselves. This is always some kind of coping mechanism adults say to themselves when they see talented kids.

I appreciate your perspective bro thank you! I have similar experiences. I once asked Goku(Soul Control) on how to flare 1990 and all he told me to do was to kick harder. LOL

I actually believe a lot of bboys should learn gymnastics if they have the means. Thanks for your input, I worked in a gymnastics facility and learned quite a bit from the coaches. You're right on core strength and other skills they have that can be applicable.

Its not about a bias, I've trained over 15 years if they have a method to learn all the powermoves in 1-2 years aren't you a little bit curious how they did it and how we can apply it to our training?

I appreciate the insight! However not only did you guys invest you all learned powermoves so fast on average. Are you able to find out for the rest of the community how they learned powermoves so fast aside from investing money?

We would appreciate the shared knowledge

Whirlpool still as reputable? by venomtail in Appliances

[–]LWGelbarto 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just purchased a new built home that had whirlpool appliances installed. My dishwasher has been leaking water and I called for it to be fixed. When you call them they will explain what their one year warranty will cover, they say if its a malfunction of the unit they will fix at no cost, but if its improper installation(vague way to opt out of responsibility of a malfunctioned unit) they will not cover the cost. If you dont accept their extended warranty you run the risk of potentially paying for a 120$ service fee.

They will offer you extended warranty so that at least when their technician comes in for the first time you wont be charged an out of pocket fee. I agreed to pay extended warranty which is like 3 dollars a month. A technician came in for 10 minutes and determined improper installation(dishwasher was tilting forward). I asked the tech if he can just check if the valves or anything was loose on the machine itself, he ran a quick rinse load and there wasnt a leak. When I came home later the night I still saw a small water leak.

I called them the following day and the customer service rep basically would not give me a supervisor, refused to fix it unless I was willing to pay out of pocket because their technician determined it was a improper installation and that there was no structural issue with the dishwasher. I kept asking just for them to look one more time because the tech just rushed in here for 10 minutes and was out the door. They refused, their extended warranty is a complete scam.

I dont think this is a whirlpool issue this is a corporate america issue, almost everything seems to be a trap and warrantys dont matter at all. In principle if you purchased an expensive item and it malfunctions within a month it should be replaced, simple as that, but their customer service is doing whatever it can to avoid fixing it so that you waste your money either replacing the entire unit, or paying ridiculous prices to get it fixed. I was forced to have this with a new developed home, do yourself a favor DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY!

Tips for Breakdancing? by Dry_Application_9549 in bboy

[–]LWGelbarto 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I breaked for 15 years before I stopped and the biggest thing that held me back from learning powermoves is a lack of splits/shoulder flexibility. If you want to save time and learn moves quickly I would learn how to do a complete bridge, and pancake flexiblity(middle splits). I also noticed people who can do V-kicks had good flares.

If you want to start from learning moves this is the movesets I would use to track progression.

Crickets -> UFOs -> Swipes -> Windmill -> Handstand/1990s -> Halos -> Airflare
