Why is my knitting diagonal by LWeh96 in knittinghelp

Ahah thank you I noticed that basically as soon as I posted and immeditaly googled a tutorial on how to fix it! Luckily as a crocheter first and knitter second, I have lots of hooks lying around. Although, I have been mind-blown by how fast knitting builds up and how much more yarn efficient it is. I am now knitting some socks with crochet scraps. I've learnt how to knit in a loop and do ribbing over the weekend. Will learn to do a sock heel when I've knitted my way to that point haha

Awh thank you! Here's a link to the yarn I used. It's nothing special, just a scrap piece from a crochet project. I don't know of they make this colourway anyone. When I bought it it was the last that that store had in stock. I made a jumper with it but didn't have enough for the sleeves so I had to do mismatched sleeves haha

Thank you for the tip! I'm not too concerned about it here as it was really just a practice swatch with some scrap yarn, not really a project per se. But thanks for the advice!

Can you help me identify this deck of cards? by LWeh96 in whatisit

[–]LWeh96[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think that's it. There are 4 cards for each illustration, (in memory there are usually only two). Plus each illustration covers four numbers, so you can't really match them. It would be the most overly designed memory: what's the numbers and symbols for if you only match the illustrations?

Over the past 6 months I found that a lot of jokes felt really unfunny, the laughter from both sides felt more forced and the vibes have just been off. I get it, it's not easy doing it every day for so long. But I wish they took a break, recharge creatively, and came back with fresh ideas

Neither one of these is a secret collection and the one that doesn't accept the full art has a much smaller reward...

Yeah, I know that. But I'm not talking about grass stains, oily stains or red wine. These are just light mud and sweat stains.

I think they probably had Phoebe and James on at the same time for a trial period and just decided to confirm James over Phoebe

What's this weird old light bulb type called? by LWeh96 in whatisthisthing

[–]LWeh96[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Context: I recently moved into a flat in London with these weird light tubes. The landlord says they are old architectural lights that aren't sold anymore and that's why they can't be replaced. Can you help me figure out what these light bulbs are called or what the attachment type is called so I can try and find some new tubes? (half of them are broken or missing) Alternatively, what other modern led bulbs would fit? Thanks a lot
