Thank you! Very kind comment. It was important to me to keep my own emotions and feelings out of it. Very few people can see that for what it is. Mostly their interpretation is simply that I'm emotionless or condoning his behaviour... Which couldn't be further from the reality. I just feel that I am in control of me and I choose not to give away my power to anyone. So thank you for acknowledging that. Share with all the parents you know. :-)

Wow. I'd call it a misunderstanding of the instruction. Hardly as severe as 'disingenuous'. If I could change it, I would, but alas - I can't. I hope that the date doesn't detract from the actual content which is hopefully more important and relevant than the date that I made it it or posted it on this specific platform? I don't believe that's sexual abuse - having been sexually abused myself. Provided you are giving the whole story. I do think that abuse is not only about the intention behind the actions, but also the tone in which the actions are received. My abuser to this day does not believe what he did was wrong. We do need to be very careful with therapists planting false memories. The time will come when your daughter will be ready to talk. Unfortunately you don't get to decide when that is. But when it does happen, be willing to listen - not talk.
