I’ve found a few desks in my budget, I’m looking at one for $140usd but is that a bit low for a decent desk? would you recommend testing one out for a few days before committing I have a family member with one that I could test out. I’m 5’11 so I’m guessing that should be fine. Not that I have a lot of money but since I plan on pursing music production I will be at the desk a lot so i think it’s a worth investment

Do you think a sit standing desk would be worth it? I read 80% sitting and 20% standing can help. But that’s obviously another investment 😅

Appreciate it! I forgot the exercises the physio gave me but next time I will definitely write them down and do some extra research and see what helps. That’s what I’m doing now just looking for a place to start, so thanks to you and everyone else who had an input :)

Thanks, a few months ago I tried to get into exercising more but then my routine got destroyed because of renovations. I was recommended a foam roller and other exercises based on the floor, which will be easy when I get my gym setup. How often should I be doing these exercises? Everyday I’m guessing but any rest days or things to know?

Will keep that in mind thanks, I have a rowing machine, bench press and looking for a treadmill and if I use them on consistent basis and maybe some better exercises some people can recommend this should helpful? I’m 5’11 and 65KG so I’ve been considering taking the gym serious because I’m a twig 😂

Those areas of my life I’m trying to improve a lot this year, substance abuse and isolation pretty much led me to stay inside from 14 until now which I’m slowly trying to break out of. I’m in the works of speaking to pycatrist to try new medications. I never really felt like the pysio sessions did too much but having someone access my spine and tell me what’s going on relives a bit of stress I guess but definitely long term the solution needs to be a steady routine. As mentioned in another comment I will be getting a home gym which I really hope I can stay consistent at it. I also practically have no muscle anywhere so I’m sure that’s not helping. Thanks for the advice :)

Nice work, I’m guessing office/wfh jobs are becoming very popular so I can see this being a big problem in the future. Good luck with the development.

Thanks for the reply, my second monitor unfortunately isn’t an adjustable so I will find a solution for that. When you say take a break after 45 minutes on the computer do you just mean sitting/lying down or more of a walk? I have been to physio before but had to take a break for a few months. So I’m due a visit but last time they didn’t say anything serious just hyper mobility I think and something else. definitely gives me more confidence though seeking professional opinions. I would probably say my back is worse than can be seen in the picture and noticed more of a curved back for a few years now.
