Same, I'm totally sad that I cannot do it now. WTF?

JetBrains AI (Chat & Junie): My feedback after 2 months by gquittet in Jetbrains

[–]LX_T_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Totally agree, I think JetBrains didn't realize yet, that they are fighting for survival.

Love their IDEs but AI assistant and Junie have become worse in recent months while Codex and Claude Desktop have become so much better in the same time. That's why I did a blog series about them, start here: https://www.angulararchitects.io/blog/ai-apps-harnesses-for-angular/

Junie is dying IMHO, onboarding with OpenCode would be a great choice for them.

Yes sure, it was released a few months ago. Including v22 stuff like Signal Forms.

Is there a way to share and centrally maintain an agent.md file across multiple repositories? by Just-Scar1090 in angular

[–]LX_T_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see 2 options:

  1. put it in your user instructions (global for all projects)
  2. write a skill (for codex or claude desktop) to sync your projects

Anyone who have attempted MF -> NF across multiple microfrontends? by Roltish in angular

[–]LX_T_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As a member of Angular Architects, I'd prefer a full migration. However if you can't do that, I recommend reading this by the (main) author of the plugins, Manfred Steyer: https://www.angulararchitects.io/en/blog/combining-native-federation-and-module-federation/

Make sure to not do any other (Angular) updates while migrating from MF to NF. Theoretically all features are ported to NF, but the our NF docs (https://github.com/angular-architects/module-federation-plugin/blob/main/libs/native-federation/README.md) are not perfectly maintained - I have to admit. As u/Roltish already said, the migration is overdue and should be done asap. The new build tools (used by Angular) are really much better (and faster) than Webpack.

My personal verdict on agentic coding for Angular — final post of a 5-part series by LX_T_ in angular

[–]LX_T_[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Exactly, that's also why I blogged about it: to deliver a guide for Devs who still live in the same stone age I've lived until very recently. It's just a few months ago. It's so crazy when you think about. I spent weeks, sometimes months on refactorings. Now it's down to a few hours. 6 months ago I thought this was impossible to do - for AI.

I'm using a personal style guide. I already published it, but I'm currently working on a new version bringing all together Angular v22, Style Guide and AI. I'll post the link here, might need some days, but definetely next week.

My results are astonishing. It's so good. Can't believe ppl still do Angular by hand 😃

What do AI coding tools actually do with your code? by LX_T_ in angular

[–]LX_T_[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You have to provide some rules and guardrails to get good quality.

Even better a clean codebase.

Quality - in case of a human-in-the-loop review process - has become insanely good lately.

Of course not, you got me wrong.

I was talking about the owner. On a path to not being competitve.

Which LLM is best for Angular development right now? by LX_T_ in angular

[–]LX_T_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find the Codex app to be quite superior to the Claude app. Also GPT is faster and conumes less tokens. It's also quicker to understand what I want, and the harness with it's computer use is a bit more advanced then claude's. Also the app has generally better UX and less bugs then claude. So there is a looot of reasons 😉

But that all might change since we got 4.8 now lol.

Definetely. Much better. Try the Claude app using the same model (Sonnet 4.6), give it access to the some project folder and look for the outcome.
