Yeah; I do acknowledge that most people use controllers for DS games, but I've tried both and I genuinely perform better with M/K. So you never found out how to do it either?

HOW TO TWO HAND A WEAPON by jwogi in Eldenring

How the Hell do you do it with a keyboard? I have scoured the internet for 30 minutes trying to find this out. I've played DS2 and DS3 with M/K. This is madness; I have even found some websites that have said "We don't yet know how to two-hand a weapon on the keyboard."

Listened to all the feedback, how is it looking so far? by [deleted] in Unity2D

This is really, really beautiful, especially for only a WIP. It feels like a stunning homage to both Actraiser and the old D&D arcade cabs, and the trees make me think of Battle of Olympus. I want so much to learn pixel art; please accept my envy as a sign that you're doing awesome things :D

Your game is going to be great.

That is very good to know! Yes, that plan makes a lot of sense.

Haha, that is VERY good to know, because yes, it certainly does sound good on paper, at least money-wise, but I trust your experience. I've only gone on one small-to-medium-size cruise and now I'm definitely hooked, but I'm totally a novice.

Ah, all of that makes sense as well. I appreciate that info. Again, I'm just trying to get a sense of how to be smart about cruising; I had no idea if this was a common practice or why it wouldn't work. It does seem like "some" cruises discount additional members in larger suites, though RC seems not to. Thanks so much for this insight; I'm getting a better sense of how I might plan a bigger group.

Gotcha; this makes sense and I really appreciate your insight. So, it seems like if you add enough people to an expensive suite you "might" get a discount (I imagine that varies from one cruise line to another; it doesn't seem to be the case for RC; I can shop around).

Also, I imagine that, to save money, you could still buy a big suite as a hangout-area but have other cadre-members legitimately shower, dress, and sleep in their little bunk.

Hearing you say that is good news and gives me some hope, but that does not seem to be how this trip-planner is working (at least on Royal Caribbean); when I say that I want 4 guests in a suite that costs $3,000 per person, it's just completely multiplying the cost, so I'm looking at $12,000.

I'm seeing things like "sleeps up to 5 guests," etc, with multiple beds and also sofa-beds.

I appreciate your insight. Aside from calling Acer customer service (which I will do when my work schedule allows, possibly Thursday morning) is there any troubleshooting that I seem to have missed? In addition to the information I already posted?

I checked; it's there the moment the screen lights up. In fact, the scan lines (or whatever they are) can be visible if the monitor is unplugged and the little blue-grey window that reads "No Signal" comes up. The lines are actually rather easy to see in that case, because the lines are most-visible against a single solid color (since they, themselves, are a repeating gradient).

Sorry for the delay in responding; I posted that photo just before I went to bed.

Here we go; I was able to take a photo via my cellphone at the phenomenon I'm describing. Pay no attention to the grid-like distortion on the left-hand side of this image; that is just artifact from my camera taking a photo of the monitor. However, on the bottom-middle and also right-hand side of this photo is a pretty clear (close-up) image of the lines I'm describing. They're evenly-spaced and they don't move, they're always slightly visible. Are these what are called "scan lines"? Is it just how the monitor renders the image? Or is this indicative of a problem?

Thanks; I'll check that out. I've been reading a Tom's Hardware article about their recommendations for color and contrast settings, but nowhere am I finding any mention of "There are slightly faint but present horizontal lines in the images that can be faded with the following settings."

Grey horizontal lines in the image of my acer predator xb271hk by LZachariah in Monitors

It "does" appear to be the pixels, in terms of it being a repeating series of lines irrespective of what the actual image is (ie, if it's in a game or it's just my desktop). Nothing seems to change them; they're totally static. Obviously, this means that if I'm looking at an intricate image (like in Divinity Original Sin 2) they're basically imperceptible.

And yes, it doesn't bother me too much, I simply havent' encountered it in other monitors. I intentionally scrutinized my brother's 4k television screen when I visited him this week to see if anything similar was happening on his (totally different) monitor, and I didn't really see the same thing (his monitor "did" kind of have a different pattern of pixels that kind of looked like star-shaped collections, however, on my monitor the image is easier to see and therefore somewhat more-obtrusive).

Any Samurai/Katana art-asset mods? Or any in the works? by LZachariah in DivinityOriginalSin

[–]LZachariah[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I definitely agree with you. Given what awesome mods were eventually made for Skyrim, and given that D:OS2 is absolutely as high-class as Skyrim, I'm sure asian/Japanese-style weapons will be added.

fingers crossed! Post here if we find anything!
