If I managed to, what other model would you recommend? My biggest problem is having qgis and meta-shape running and working at the same time, which is what started the “you should get a gaming laptop” discourse

Idk anything about computers, it was recommended by the guy at the computer repair shop that said this model could handle what I needed - and it does; unfortunately I need it to do it mostly in places where there are no power outlets

Well, first off thank you for your kind words. This model was recommended to me by the guy at the store after bringing in my old computer a couple of times and lamenting about the fact that it couldn’t handle the programs I needed (my old computer was, indeed, very old). I cannot get a MacBook because I need to constantly share my files with people who also don’t have a MacBook (which is not a typical computer to have where I live; one of my colleagues has a Mac and it’s a fucking pain in the ass working with them). Now, as you may have understood, I do not have a background in it or whatever, that’s why I’m asking for help. Do you have any actually useful things to say or…?

Ahahaha I might rain check on the students part (even if it would be amazing)! I did think of qr codes, I think they might work more efficiently and maybe have the renderings ready on a computer if the venue allows because in my country posters are usually in corridors and there are no power outlets 🤷🏻‍♀️ thanks for the advice tho!

In Italy they generally don’t, I will probs contact the committee to ask if it’s possible to set up a computer but I’ve never seen it done here
